Auxiliary battery draining while Parked / Ready

Thanks for the replies, good to see as usual a range of informed opinions! I was so sure that I was in Ready, and I was sure that the air-con was nice and cool. In hindsight however, and under controlled circumstances I tried again and I did notice a difference so perhaps I wasn't in Ready...

Auxiliary battery draining while Parked / Ready

With this hot weather I've sat a couple of times for a long lunch in the air conditioned comfort of the Phev while I eat my Tesco meal deal. Has anyone else experienced an issue with the Auxiliary battery being drained resulting in a dashboard warning about requiring a service and generally...

What Have You Done To Your PHEV Today?

Gave the charging port and plug a good spray with WD40. Used the straw to make sure none went into the electrical holes. What a difference it makes!

    Outlander 2014, SSID\Password renwal

When I put mine in for its first service post purchase I was in the same position as you. The dealership gave me a print out (a screengrab) with the details i needed. Didn't charge me anything above the cost of service.

Found a GX3H at pretty good price but high mileage at 120k

£10.5K is a lot of money for a 3 year old car with no remaining manufacturer warranty. The 3H is the least desirable model. Virtually all of those miles must have been on petrol, not the battery if that bothers you. On the plus side if you plan to potter it around town on battery for the next 5...

Charging cable - spiral or straight?

I bought mine second hand, for all of £50. Loads of people at end of lease are giving these up, might find a bargain on gumtree.

How much electricty have you used?

I was trying to get my head around a calculation if I could tell what split between petrol and battery i've used given the usage. I think I read that its about 3 miles per kwh, so i've done about 11k miles on battery power? Considering the bulk of the time was in my 3h model before I changed to...

How much electricty have you used?

I've had a home charger fitted for about 2 years, and that's what i use 99% of the time. Just checked the meter attached to it and i've used 3550 units, so that's about £355 pounds worth of electricity. I make that about £15 a month over the 24 months. Am I right in saying though that with...

    Email from CYC

I wonder how long until Scotland gets the same £1 charge.

Distance travelled : Electric vs Petrol

Is there any way to access the lifetime distance or time travelled on Electric or Petrol? It would be interesting to know over time what the ratio is. Hypothetically if you were looking at buying a used (high mileage?) PHEV in the years to come what would your ideal ratio be?

    Engine rough at low revs?

Don't think so ... happens at end of journey once battery is depleted and engine is warmed up.

    Engine rough at low revs?

Interesting, hadn't thought of the oil, with only two dealer stamps in the book I presumed it would be correct. Car is in sunny Glasgow ... it isn't *that* cold ...
