Mitsu finally fixes Wi-Fi security hole?

I had the "security fix" done in late November at the same time as the recall mods, however the Remote App didn't work after it at all. At the 3yr service today the dealer said that a new ECU part is now required to fix the issue, and it's on back order and will be fitted some time in March...

    Sunroof closing position

My sunroof starting doing bizarre things a few weeks ago like partially opening again when trying to close it. It then stopped working altogether. I took it back to the dealer and they "re-learnt it's closing position" under warranty and it's back to normal now. Cheers Neil

GREEN MOULD/ALGAE AROUND THE EDGES OF THE CLEAR TAIL LIGHT L

Just saw the same on mine at the weekend..the condensation inside the rear light cluster is going green

    Software update - what's changed?

That's what I thought too, however when I asked the dealer to just this during the cars first service, they replied they would only apply updates to fix a specific problem, and it's a chargeable activity otherwise! Not great service, to be honest. Regards Neil

    paintless dent removal

I had a cyclist pull up alongside me and lean against the rear post and leave a little dent where he put pressure on the bodywork. Most annoying indeed, but I'd pained to pay anyone to fix it until I can combine with the inevitable supermarket door dings that I'm just waiting for.. Regards Neil

Impact of SOC on performance / drivability

I've always thought that performance does drop off with low SOC. I never "floor it" - even with regular driving the engine revs seem abnormally high (and relate almost directly to the amount of throttle) and the car appears sluggish. My "power" dial is always in the green but the engine is...

    Budget 2015

Tax changes to bands usually apply to "new registrations" only so existing vehicles we should be safe. However, the last time the VED increased for all vehicles across the board, my lease company charged me the difference, so most certainly didn't "take it on the chin" Depends on your contract...

How about a FAQ sticky post?

Having spent my usual 30 minutes or so reading the forums, at least 80% of the threads are repeat questions that have be discussed at length numerous times. e.g. What does SAVE and CHARGE do How do I setup the Wifi? Can't get it to work How do I stop the beeps What's the best fuel economy mode...

Save mode disabled when low on fuel

You're assuming I haven't ripped out the unused seats? ;) Most of my journeys are low speed around town, so I doubt wind resistance comes into play much. Yes the 40kg is probably insignificant compared to the weight of the batteries etc, but having not found any major problems with the car...

Save mode disabled when low on fuel

Hehe..I'm happy with the size of the tank without Mitsubishi making it "virtually smaller" by the overly cautious REFUEL messages. But it would be nice if I could choose to run with <5L of fuel in for most of my journeys (which are on EV) and actually know how much I had left. Removing 40kg...

Save mode disabled when low on fuel

160km is quite impressive. From refuelling shortly after --:-- range is displayed I found that I have approx 5L of petrol remaining. The overly cautious refuelling warnings certainly mean people are making far more fuel stops that really necessary on long journeys. One should be maximising...

    Charging cable protector

I use a very similar one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003QRJOVA Cable fits just right into the slot and the rubber is flexible enough to fold in half for storage in the boot when not in use (although does get quite stiff at low temperatures) Cheers Neil

Save mode disabled when low on fuel

On the way home from a 50 mile trip at the weekend I wanted to see how much range I still had when the "Refuel" message appears on the dash. With a flat battery, so running mostly on petrol, I had then done around 30 miles (so had reached the original predicted range before the REFUEL message...

First long drive - economy tips please

Advice is no different from maximising economy in any car... leave longer gaps to the car in front to allow for a more constant speed and less braking.. have a light right foot when accelerating.. avoid stop/start where you can. don't use the aircon or heater keep windows/sunroof closed to...
