Are Outlander PHEV shocks the same as other models?

I've reached 130,000km with the shocks. They're not terrible yet (I am a gentle driver and the roads here are pretty good) but am noticing a bit more undampened rebound lately. Trying to get information on compatibility is next to impossible. For exact same part numbers some sites say it is...

Triple Procedure & Setup (Costs around 80USD)

Thanks for replying. I'm wondering if it's even more complex then! If it's meant to be a bridge, can it bridge a device which literally has no driver? I'm presuming that you had another OBD connector already working, and it bridges that to the MUT-3. Not quite my use case, as I can't even get a...

Triple Procedure & Setup (Costs around 80USD)

Sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but thought it'd be good to keep all the content in one place anyway. I recently bought a MUT-3 (most likely a clone, despite having all the Mitsubishi markings and logos on it), because the CD it shipped on had a couple kilobytes of a corrupt installer on...

    Improve battery with cell replacement?

Oh... I was hoping something like a ODB-II tool would be able to tell every single cell voltage, and if that couldn't the MUT-3 could. Has kind of put a spanner in my planned works. Not that I've had much time lately to do much. Using graphs from the charger side, I've notice that it doesn't...

    Improve battery with cell replacement?

Not familiar with your software, but there's two fairly standard ways to "eyeball" a weak cell. 1. Testing remaining capacity. A cell that has reduced capacity will be first to fill as well as first to empty. Most reliable way is to get the battery perfectly top balanced, and watch it as it...

    Permanent 12volt supply in cabin

Sorry, didn't see this reply. There's 600wh in the LiFe battery, which you can generally extract at around 80% efficiency. (3% battery loss, 15% inverter loss) Should be about 300wh in the Aux battery, which I can probably get out at around 40-50% efficiency (Above + Peukert's effect) And...

    Impossible Advertising

You got me there. Then again, almost every car ad I see says something like "Specifications may vary" and "Not all features shown available in Australia". If that one sole mock up of the range and EV mix is what people relied upon to buy the car, I do feel sorry for them. They must feel...

    Impossible Advertising

But, but, but, then I'd be misled. I've driven 4000km with my car so far, and only put in about 70L of petrol. 4000 / 70 = 53.3 kilometers per litre 100/53.3 =1.87L per 100km: I'm beating the advertiser's spec. That said, the average day, I'm only driving about 30km, and on the days that I...

Towing 12 v wiring in Australia.

Thanks. I know they exist, but the only ones I've seen are quite expensive. Any suggestions or links?

Towing 12 v wiring in Australia.

I'm planning on getting around this by installing a second LiFePo4 battery in the cavity where the charger sits. I'm hoping to install charger that will charge the LiFePo4 battery when the Lead Acid battery is >12v, but cut off as soon as it's 11.9v, preserving the Lead Acid battery from over...

    Petrol only mpg

Have I don't the conversion right? 6.4mpg = 2.7km/L? What are you doing, burning it as a liquid fuel rocket to propel you, or using it to pay your sedan chair bearers to carry the car around the snow? Once my charge is out, I generally get around 16km/L average: More for start/stops and...

Is it safe to keep battery at 100% SoC?

The Mitsubishi bar seems to report SOC rather than voltage, so that would mean that 3.6 to 3.7v should be about 50-60% on the bar. The reason 3.6 to 3.7v is chosen, is that it's the lowest voltage that still has a fair bit of capacity left. At 3.5v you;re looking at around 20% capacity left.

Is it safe to keep battery at 100% SoC?

The battery has a real 12kwh capacity, but few people ever get more than 10kwh out of it, so I'm guessing that it's keeping it from being charged to 100%, or discharged to 0%. Someone with the charge app or otherwise reading the right OBD-II codes will be able to confirm. The "best" storage...

Anyone got location based charging working?

Just a quick update - manually typing in my address resolved the issue, but selecting the predefined "Home" meant I was too far away. It appears that once you've set the address for "Home", you can also "calibrate" the GPS in case it's not close enough. It seems someone (could have been me) had...
