    UK Company & Car Owner

I have had my 4h since June 2014 and have always considered buying it back from the Company (owned by me) when the cost of company ownership was greater than personal ownership. Has anyone else crunched the numbers, taking into account rising BIK rates, Class 1a NIC, CT liability when sold...

Latest Charging Point Update Now Available (Europe & Aus)

Can you see the ecotricity charging points on the Europe version? They are not showing on mine.

    Upgrades/Updates

Apologies if this is already somewhere on this forum. I would like to see a list of upgrades/updates that are available (for free) to keep our cars up to date and bug free. Mitsubishi don't seem to advertise these very well, and it is a case of using forums like this one to find out what is...

New PHEV in a few weeks

The data supplied by Chargemaster indicates that a full charge is on average between 11.5 and 12.5 kWh

    MPG Display

Change the system units to metric L/100km and then back to mpg. The trip screen will now have a snap shot of your mpg - but it won't continue to calculate it dynamically

2 issues- DAB radio is poor and Ipod playing songs not on it

There is an update available to hands free s/w version 18. You will have to ask for it. This sorted out my ipod classic issues.

    Tethered charge point

But for those of us considering a BMW i3 as a second household vehicle, an untethered 30A unit with 2 separate cables would be a solution.

    Spotted!

League table of mileage on full charge

48 miles range showing this morning. I managed 33.5 ev miles yesterday. A combination of regeneration on a long downhill Stretch, coasting in B0, and doing less than 50mph through road works. Also managed to eek out over 6 miles with 1 bar left.

    North West Group

Birch services, M62 westbound. The right hand side charging post is allowing charging without having to validate with a card.

    Rear Transaxle Judder

I never use neutral. Handbrake & P, or handbrake & power off as suggested. This is what I used to do in my prius as well.

    Not receiving RDS traffic bulletins

TP does not display in map screen, just the RDS icon. In FM mode I have the 2 RDS settings set to on. TP standby is just that, it will broadcast if a traffic message if available. If a message is broadcast, TP end will be available and you can press it to cut short the traffic message but it...

What Have You Done To Your PHEV Today?

A big white silent PHEV was an obvious choice of a wedding car to drive guests to and from Chester town hall last weekend. It looked rather nice with ribbons and bows on it. NB trying to actually get to the town hall whilst navigating the one way system and closed pedestrian areas was a challenge.

    Spotted!

Unmarked white phev police car with blues and twos in Chester tonight.

    Budget 2015

And will that car deliver a theoretical unlimited mpg? How much will it cost to service? Will it drive on pure electric for those shorter journeys? What will the BIK be? Will you get London Congestion Charge Exemption? etc. etc. We all choose our cars for different reasons depending on our...

What Have You Done To Your PHEV Today?

I recently drove a loop from Lake Bala to Lake Vyrnwy (North Wales) and back over the Hirnant pass and the Hellfire pass. Great drive with fantastic views. Plenty of regeneration on the downhill bits!

    Mastercharge charging Station questions

I installed a 32A untethered unit, for a small price increase over the 100% subsidised 16A unit in 2014 This was for 3 reasons; 1. Future proofing for evolving technology. 2. You need a separate type 2 - type 1 cable to use most public charging points anyway. 3. If I bought another hybrid in the...

    Annoyed by following car(s)

How often have you been following a car that you suspect has 2 faulty brake lights? It will make you more aware of your stopping distance and hopefully you will allow a little extra room. I paddle all the time - and do not have a problem with other cars being too close behind me for this reason...

Ipod classic and phone connectivity issues

No problem. It is also worth mentioning that software updates are not always routinely done as part of a service - you will have to ask for it.

Ipod classic and phone connectivity issues

There is a software update available at your dealer that may help with anyone having ipod and phone connectivity issues. If you press settings and map together (for a few seconds) you will find a sub-menu. Under 'Hands free module' the latest s/w version should be 18.00.000 My ipod classic...
