It worked! Checked plug was fully home and release catch was released and hey presto, charging. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the replies. It is a tethered cable and I will experiment with the plug connection and release catch this evening to see if that is the issue. Hopefully it is something that simple.

I have just had a home charger installed but the car is refusing to accept the charge. The charger indicates that charge is "suspended by the vehicle or a car led scheduled charge has been set" but nothing has been programmed for any day or time. If I connect the supplied 13amp cable everything...

I have noticed that when stopping and powering down the vehicle the Charging indicator shows in White. Is this normal? What does it mean ?

I was wondering if I could use a different cable than that supplied and connect to the 16amp circuit without a purpose built charge point?

For a charge point at work I have the option of connecting to either a 13amp socket or to use a 16amp circuit. Are there advantages in installibg a socket into the 16amp circuit and if so what is best socket type to use?

I know this is perhaps a stupid question but is the charger supplied with the car waterproof? That is, can it be used if risk of rain, provided plug is in a waterproof socket?

Still awaiting confirmation of delivery date. Meanwhile have noticed charging points in Belfast City centre and Bangor but I assume a different cable is required to use these. Also saw a fast charger at Ikea complete with tethered cable.

Hi, I have a GX4h on order, hopefully for delivery mid January. I am based around Belfast so will be on the look out for public charge points. I have only seen one Phev locally so far, though there were several awaiting delivery at the dealers a few weeks ago when I went for a test drive.
