MY2019 Outlander PHEV 2.4 4H - My Test Drive Weekend.

@jaapv you are not talking about the MY 2019 model, do you ? Especially when you write : the only thing to bear in mind is that if you drive flat-out for long stretches, especially with a head wind, the car may tell you to slow down a bit to recover the battery. We simply don't know if it...

Battery Cooling Ever Come On During Level 2 Charging?

My experience in July : temperature about 28 °C, and charged the battery just after driving (battery rather hot I suppose). No fan during charging. I stopped the charge after about 2 or 3 hours, before the battery was full, and started the car : the fans started immediately, and for a while. I...

About to drive into France - any tips?

I had a trip from Lyon to Birmingham, Liverpool, Wales and Stonehenge 2 weeks ago. Nice trip ! Didn't charge at all. Used Charge mode a lot on motorways, and EV in towns and traffic jams. Tips ? Drive carefully, and look at left at each roundabout. I didn't ask for some tips because I knew...

    Charging information (international)

I will drive my PHEV in England for a couple of weeks, should I ask some questions about charging in this "international" topic ?

EV range map is not realtime.

Come on anko, come on ... I'm sure you've perfectly understood the idea ;)

How 'cold' should air con get?

My flat is equipped with Mitsubishi air-conditioners since 2005, in the living room and 3 bedrooms : no failure, no maintenance at all (excepting cleaning the filters every year of course) :)

How 'cold' should air con get?

For all my car's air conditioning, my politics was "as long as it works, don't touch it".

    MMCS Satnav Voice - Mute

No quick method. It's a Mitsubishi and it's THE MMCS ! The less slow method is to access to the voice setting via the arrow at the bottom left.

How 'cold' should air con get?

I can confirm that it can be impressive (only out of the car luckily), especially since there is no engine noise ;)

    Sweden

I would add some words : Having the air-conditioning switched on will show an even lower alledged range, in a very pessimistic manner. And the car is of course very sensitive not only to driving style but to driving conditions too. For example I can reach -in summer- 50 km in EV mode very...

How 'cold' should air con get?

ECO mode makes a difference -the fan goes a bit slower- in less extreme conditions than setting 15 degrees in a very hot car ;) And it doesn't shock me that you obtained the same result at 20 °C... at least during the first minute or so.

How 'cold' should air con get?

For me the aircon is OK even at 41 °C (never had more ;)), and Auto mode is my preference. I just don't take the indicated T° setting in consideration, I prefer to follow my feeling. Yesterday I had a 200 km trip with an external temperature between 27 and 33 °C, and I made the setting vary...

Drive battery degradation . Houston, do we have a problem?

Estimated EV range changes a lot, but real EV range changes only a little bit. Mitsubishi overestimated the importance of the air-conditioning consumption in the range calculation. You can confirm that if you look for a long time at the left circular watt meter which shows the aircon...

Drive battery degradation . Houston, do we have a problem?

Very likely I think. At least in percentage, not in absolute value. So it doesn't change the % of degradation, and if you've lost 20 % of capacity you should have lost 20 % of range. My battery condition is 85 % and I can confirm that I've lost about 15 % of range I think.

Drive battery degradation . Houston, do we have a problem?

I've seen 45 kW occasionally on the dashboard, driving downhill in the Alps. I see much more frequently 30 kW. But it never lasts for a very long time. After 10 km or so in a long downhill the regenerative braking can't feed more than 10 kW in B5, due to some internal protections I presume. Same...

Drive battery degradation . Houston, do we have a problem?

Not bad at all. See Anko's degradation ... and mine is more than 0,1 Ah per month  I think B5 doesn't help too, but I don't want to stay in B0 all the time and B5 is a great thing in mountain !
