I am thinking of waiting for the new version launched at Geneva last month. Has anyone heard when it's likely to get released??

You may have read an old article from last year, which was on about the all-new one, not the face-lift one due this autumn.
The all-new one is pencilled in for 20/21, but yes, it was postponed a little due to Ren/Nis deal. It will still go ahead, but like you say, they are looking at chassis and tech sharing.
