Arrow indicating a button on my dash screen - what is it?

On the right of my dash screen about a third of the way down I sometimes get a symbol which looks like a button with an arrow above it .
I've been through the manual with no joy.
It is shown in the post below on error codes.
Anyone know what it means?

It means: hold down the button which toggles between the various "between dial display" modes and whatever is currently showing (usually a satnav direction) will disappear (and be replaced by an alert triangle) and allow you to see the normal stuff you want to look at. The satnav info can be a bit of a pain there at times and sometimes it is useful to be able to hold down that button to get rid of it (but it only works until the next instruction comes up).
