Me and my PHEV have been laid up for eight weeks owing to me having sustained a broken ankle. Should I charge the auxiliary battery before driving the car again?
It should start without problem. The auxiliary battery will get charged up from the main battery regularly. The only time that there would be a theoretical problem would be if you stored the car with a flat main battery and not connected to your charger.
Maybe. However, in that case there is no reason to think that the auxiliary battery would flatten spontaneously. Even then, just connecting a charger should be enough to jump-start it.
