Loud electric Whirrling sound at random times

Hi all!

Just bought myself an Ex-demo Aspire last week and loving it!

However, I noticed that when I first start the car, before putting anything into gear, there's a short 3-4 second "whirrling" type of sound. Does anyone know what this is?

It happens from time to time as well when I'm driving and coming to a stop

I believe this is one of the electric pumps, it is probably for the brake pressure.

It is very normal, nothing to worry about

The brake servo pump makes a pleasant and gentle "brrrrrr" sound in my car . It is not loud.

To find out if that is the one, pump the brake when stationary, that will use up the vacuum and start the pump.

Maybe the pump needs to be reseated.

Sometimes the petrol engine sounds like a gentle brrrrr too! :lol:
