Which finance deal did you plumb for Maddogs?

0% interest. Hate paying interest  And took the view I will either love it and keep it longer term (buying it out of the business as soon as the BIK becomes untenable) or regret it in which case will hopefully be able to take advantage of strong early residuals to trade it after 12-18 months.

Yes I think if I do go for it I'll go for the 0% too - same logic as you.

Looking at the car today we were surprised how tight the middle seat was in the back. It'd be difficult to have 3 reasonable sized adults there it seemed, which is a shame... This is exacerbated by the seatbelt "receivers" seeming to stick up a lot and not have a lot of flexibility to move out of the way of one's posterior!

A minor thing really...

We're struggling to decide if it's the car for us - there is so much that is attractive about it, and we can't find much to beat it elsewhere...

Richard.

It's always going to be quite a bit smaller than the Disco. I've internalised that compromise already myself, but obviously a lot depends on how often you need the extra space. I think it would have been an easier decision if I was coming from something like a Freelander/Q5/X3 etc.

I'm anticipating that 2-3 years from now (maybe even less) there'll be a lot more comparable vehicles to choose from. If my experience with Mitsubishi is good and the next Shogun is a significant step up from the current model I might even trade the Outlander for a Shogun PHEV when that comes out.

Yes the GC-PHEV that's been shown at the Geneva motor Show looks more like what I'm after really - but they need to tame down some of the "concept" madness in the looks!

...and I presume that will take a few years to reach market?

Does anyone know how long the Outlander PHEV took to go from Concept to Market? I'm not sure what the lead time is on these things...

Maddogs - did they give you a good price for your Disco? I'm waiting to hear back what they are offering me for mine. That will have a large bearing on affordability for me.

I think we've reached a decision that we're going to jump into the EV world - pending budgeting when they tell us what they'll offer for the Disco.

The Disco was never part of the deal for me. It would be interesting to hear what their offer is like but gut feel suggests you're better either selling privately (which is what I'm doing) or offering it to a specialist trader.

Yes - I found it surprisingly tight and I have a smaller than average uk behind! The seatbelt things were ridiculous - I was a bit annoyed as wanted a true 5 seater but won't be much more comfy than our Prius with 2 kids seats in the back. I was hoping I'd been mistaken - perhaps they retract?

Did you get a decent offer? I've just sold mine through the forum that brought me here, nice and easy and a price I'm pretty happy with :D

Disappointingly they aren't being very swift at getting an offer to us. Until they do that, we can't really move forward.

I guess they are selling so many so quickly, they aren't too interested in yet another potential order!

Which forum led you here out of interest?
