This is exactly why we need CarPlay and Android Auto. So we can have the superior aspects of a built-in nav system (large, integrated, touch-screen display), with the superior aspects of a third party GPS/smartphone unit (cost, features, responsiveness, up-to-date data, and continuous improvement).

Exterior looks great. Interior is adequate I guess.

Hmmm, now I am picturing "in-flight" refueling! An Outlander PHEV at high speed followed by a Leaf, with the Leaf's charging flap open. Attendant in the back of the Outlander opens the hatch, sticks a pole out, and plugs the pole-attached cable into the charging port on the Leaf.

I know in Japan they have both 110v and 220v home power, depending on which part of the country you live in. This implies that there are Mitsubishi parts available for the Outlander PHEV that would work anywhere in the world, albeit with a prong adapter, assuming we could somehow identify...

At this point I'm sure everyone would be happy if every car just offered Apple Car Play and Android Auto as two options to the factory junk. The automakers get their $$$ cut because it's an option, and customers get much smoother working systems that are frequently updated and better integrated.

So which new style is actually going to be the new US model? Or has this not been confirmed yet?

Why is there a heavy lead acid battery in the first place? Why not just a 300V to 12V converter and run everything off the drive battery?

They can't even make their commitments in current markets so it would be irresponsible for them to expand into more markets. The problem is that they have a single source for battery production. You shouldn't have a single source for such a critical component unless there is an overwhelming...

Prices in foreign countries have nothing to do with prices in the USA. Typically prices in the USA for cars is very low compared to most countries. Indonesia in particular has high tariffs and is known for extremely expensive prices when it comes to cars.
