    Map Update

This is exactly why we need CarPlay and Android Auto. So we can have the superior aspects of a built-in nav system (large, integrated, touch-screen display), with the superior aspects of a third party GPS/smartphone unit (cost, features, responsiveness, up-to-date data, and continuous improvement).

    2016 PHEV pics leaked

Exterior looks great. Interior is adequate I guess.

    Photo Gallery of 2016 Model

http://www.hybridcars.com/mitsubishi-shows-redesigned-2016-outlander-in-new-york/2016-mitsubishi-outlander-7/ It's obviously not the PHEV model due to the third row seating, but the exterior and the rest of the interior should be identical or very nearly identical.

Possible to rig the O PHEV as a mobile CHADEMO charger

Hmmm, now I am picturing "in-flight" refueling! An Outlander PHEV at high speed followed by a Leaf, with the Leaf's charging flap open. Attendant in the back of the Outlander opens the hatch, sticks a pole out, and plugs the pole-attached cable into the charging port on the Leaf.

Outlander PHEV now able to supply V2H power

I know in Japan they have both 110v and 220v home power, depending on which part of the country you live in. This implies that there are Mitsubishi parts available for the Outlander PHEV that would work anywhere in the world, albeit with a prong adapter, assuming we could somehow identify...

Outlander PHEV MMCS Sat Nav and speed cameras

At this point I'm sure everyone would be happy if every car just offered Apple Car Play and Android Auto as two options to the factory junk. The automakers get their $$$ cut because it's an option, and customers get much smoother working systems that are frequently updated and better integrated.

So this is what the facelift looks like

So which new style is actually going to be the new US model? Or has this not been confirmed yet?

Outlander PHEV now able to supply V2H power

Every article I read about this feature only mentions the Japanese version. Is there anyone who has this feature in their Outlander PHEV who is outside of Japan?

    GX5hs In the U.S.

Here is my guess. Both the US and Australia sell an AWD petrol engine Outlander with roughly the same features, so those current prices can be directly compared today. "AUS 4x4" MSRP = $36,490 "USA S-AWC" MSRP = $26,195 We see the USA price is 71.8% of the AUS price. So if we take 71.8% of the...

How does the 12v battery charges?

Why is there a heavy lead acid battery in the first place? Why not just a 300V to 12V converter and run everything off the drive battery?

Outlander PHEV coming in 2015 due to battery shortages

They can't even make their commitments in current markets so it would be irresponsible for them to expand into more markets. The problem is that they have a single source for battery production. You shouldn't have a single source for such a critical component unless there is an overwhelming...

    PHEV production restarting

Prices in foreign countries have nothing to do with prices in the USA. Typically prices in the USA for cars is very low compared to most countries. Indonesia in particular has high tariffs and is known for extremely expensive prices when it comes to cars.
