Replaced the traction battery's modules - success

You are right Terry Yates from NZ. It is like flogging a dead horse Also Mitsubishi has left the UK in 2018 and probably never coming back. I trusted the brand and now have been let down. You cannot buy any more new Mitsubishi cars in the UK. They have it in Germany but it is left hand drive. I...

    Confused about petrol consumption

Your car is doing absolutely what it is designed to do!!! 28mpg at 85mph, is alsolutely correct, even when new. You will see miracles happen if you only halved that speed, and kept the car fully charged. You see some people [not you I am referring to!] think that if they charged the car fully...

    Confused about petrol consumption

Good news. I have owned a 2015 model from new. It has now done 44,000 miles ++. 100Km is 62 miles. That should technically be okay. Driving at 62mph is also okay in a PHEV. Answer to 1: For 62 miles, you should still have some battery left [regardless of what the display tells you]. So for 62...

Battery range dropped suddenly (phev, 2016 model)

Can I just say, you are brilliant with the car. UK 2015 2.0L PHEV now done 44,000. When new showed 32 miles range. Now weather permitting, can see 23 mile range [at 14 degrees centigrade]. When it was 5 degrees in winter, in UK Cheshire, range only showed 20miles. Note however, whatever the...

    Heavy freeway driving

You are absolutely right. Good on you. Well noticed. You see if you drove recklessly, on normal mode, and you are a power thirst driver [eg likes to accelerate, brake suddenly, overtake, tailgate, then in Normal, the car will choose what is the best economically..normally a combination of both...

    Heavy freeway driving

NORMAL MODE. Either way, this is not the ideal car for fast long distances. The best cars for this which will save you loads of money would be a diesel for those driving conditions. Some of the more modern diesels, can give you 80 mpg. Few can beat a diesel for that kind of driving.

    Punctures

Get yourself a Michelin Uptin, which is airless. Well worth it. My 2015 pHEV HAD A PUNCTURE AFTER 9 YEARS. I had to call the tow truck out to take me to puncture repair shop. Absolute nightmare. A whole day of work down the drain. NEVER USE THE EMERGENCY CAN OF GUNGE as the tyre has to be...

    Charging from the engine

Of course it does. It also reduces the life span of the car. The harder the engine works, the less it will last. It is no different than a human being. If you burn your candle at both ends, get little sleep, smoke a lot...you will die earlier. That is generally true..but not always. That is why...

You can get your PHEV to do in excess of 500 mpg, if you drive carefully, and frugally.....

As you have noticed, yes it is. There is a lot of bullying going on, and my car is better than yours, my driving is better than yours sort of thing. No different than male v male outside the nightclub fighting for women, just like animals. So you might want to think twice. It does get very very...

You can get your PHEV to do in excess of 500 mpg, if you drive carefully, and frugally.....

Dear Fancy McDancy. Unfortunately some people are just like that. They are nasty to the core, and I am grateful for your picking this up. As you will observe, some [not all] are just there to hurt people and to be nasty to people. So be careful what you say. I told a gentleman who lives in...

You can get your PHEV to do in excess of 500 mpg, if you drive carefully, and frugally.....

Littlecrote, you wrote a lot in this. I DO understand. I meant emit 3kWh charger. We have 2. 1 emits 3kWh of charge from the charger, and the other emits 7kWh of charge. We use the 3kWh charger which emits 3kWh per hour of charge when it is sunny in the day time and use the 9kWh charger, when it...

As explained supra, the journey and type has been thoroughly explained. Thanks

You can get your PHEV to do in excess of 500 mpg, if you drive carefully, and frugally.....

I have already explained...the journey on average is between 31 miles to 34 miles, and yet look at the above submissions. And we are both Mensa members, me passing first fime, and him getting in after second attempt allowing three years grace. We pay 9.4pence per Kilowatt Hour on night time...

Battery Range at the moment in England is 20miles on full charge, yet consider the above contention.
