Tried EVBatmon on my Android tab with obd2 connector - EV SERVICE REQUIRED! engine management light on all the time. Connector on it's way back to Amazon, last time I fiddle with anything. I want my MK1 Cortina back. Chris

Hi Is anyone removing the OBD2 sender before switching off and replacing after switching on, as per the guidance? I have found that sometimes leaving it in results in the engine management light staying on and no response to the start button. Cheers Chris

The garage fitted a new "module" which they were sure would sort the problem. When they came to recode the keys, the car would not accept the security code. It appears that the camera was causing this problem, as when it was dissconnected the code went straight in. So if anyone has trouble...

Friday 3.30pm UK just off to see if there has been any progress, but it looks like the wee Mirage for the weekend. The problem occurs when a door is opened, then you can put the key in front of thr speedo and still nothing. Will keep the forum posted as even Japan cant answer this one. Cheers...

Getting same problem as previous posts, car has been in the garage since Monday, (it's Thursday now) and not able to sort the problem. I'll let you know the outcome. Cheers Chris

Hi I would be really interested in this, but using Torque Pro on an Android phone I get "EV Service Required" message if I leave the ELM323 dongle in and Torque on, even if the car is switched off. Only removing the dongle and restarting the car sets everything back to normal. Any ideas...

Definitely never happened before, the battery gauge has always show at least some blue until today, probably nothing to worry about, but something must have changed, just wonder what!

Thanks for the replies guys (or gals), it's just that this has never happened in the last 10800 miles, including towing and long motorway runs, along with delivering milk around town. It seems strange that it should suddenly happen, just wondered why now? Cheers Chris

Got the same with Torque pro, which came on a disc with the ELM327. Had a couple of "EV Service Due" warnings when the phone is trying to connect when the car is switched off. Any thoughts?? Cheers Chris

In mine the seat belt doesn't beep until I drive off (forward or reverse) and reach 4-5 mph, by which time I need a remider that I'm breaking the law, at least in the UK. Cheers Chris

Hi I tow a 1500kg dive boat and can get 25mpg without charge, no worse than a Discovery. Use save when towing and keep,the battery full, you can always use it for the last 10 or so miles if you want. When not towing 40+ mpg should be easily achievable. Cheers Chris
