    URGENT Heater Help Needed

Thanks enormously. That is hugely useful. I wish the manual would cover this but in fact it has no detail whatsoever.

    URGENT Heater Help Needed

Hmm. Interesting. Thanks so much for your replies. Just to be clear then, if I turn the car on (foot-on-the-brake-and-press-start-till-the-button-lights-blue) with the charge cable still plugged in then the heater controls light up and I can set the temperature and turn the fan speed up and...

    URGENT Heater Help Needed

There is no problem with turning the car on when plugged in I think. The manual says: "Even if the power switch is On with the normal charge connector is inserted in the normal charge port it will not be in the state which can be driven." It then goes on to explain how to turn the vehicle off...

    GX4h heater

If anyone wants to know about the heater in the GX4h I suggest that they read Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Technical Review Vol. 46 No. 4 (December 2010). Personally I never miss an issue - no, that is actually a lie as I am waiting till they make the movie! Anyway; it goes into detail about a...

    URGENT Heater Help Needed

I have a fault with the heater on our PHEV. I have taken it to the garage and they have said "fault not found". The model is a first generation GX4H. When I have the car plugged in (charged-up) and then turn the electric heater on in the morning we don't get any heat. We used to. Can I just...

    Extension cables

A few points that you maybe should keep in mind Tippers. The loss in cables is proportional to both their length and the current you are drawing. Ten amps is a lot so the combination here makes charging an electric vehicle close to a worst case. Hence, I guess, why the manual states that you...

    Neat torch for the Outlander

Found a slim round torch which fits the passenger-side holder down by your knee in the RHD PHEV. It is not the brightest torch but then it is small and probably on a par with most good small LED torches. It has a magnetic base which holds the unit in place but to be honest isn't perhaps as...

Anyone know what the mpg display is showing?

Maybe this is not a useful method then Neverfuel. It is a pity that it doesn't work because it is fascinating to try and maximise the mileage.

Anyone know what the mpg display is showing?

That cycling certainly fits with what I saw. There were a lot of gentle up/down slopes through the villages and it seemed to run the engine up hill and use battery power down even though the slopes were sometimes quite gentle. Good to hear that you think the numbers sound right Regulo.

Anyone know what the mpg display is showing?

I have to admit that nearly 60 mpg does seem ridiculously high for the petrol-only parts of the journey. Then again 23 mpg seems ridiculously low. Especially given how carefully and gently I was driving. This 23 figure is what the mileage would be for the ICE section if I calculate petrol...

Anyone know what the mpg display is showing?

Much of Harvey's driving is done in pure EV mode. I have brought him to London twice now been intrigued by the mpg reading. I assumed before that what it gave was the consumption for the whole trip. I now realise that cannot be though as that would put the fuel consumption at around the low 20...

    Heated Windscreen - UK Models?

That makes sense in terms of the home market. OK so remote parts of Japan can get cold but much of it rarely sees any significant low temperatures and even less any snow. I have seen snow in Tokyo but it fell apart. They have that "oh my gosh what do we do now?" reaction, like much of the UK...

    First Time Off-road

Your story is wonderful. That silence is superb on the road but just sublime on the rough stuff. From the little experience I have had - what I mention in this thread basically - it feels like the Mitsubishi is fairly competent off-road. At least as good as the tyres allow. Although I am no judge.
