Phone cutting in and out (Android Samsung S6)

I have the same problem that started with a S7 edge. All other Samsung phones I had before worked fine. It just cuts in and out, I recall it seemed to start when I connected my new phone 3 months ago. Strange thing is when the car is stationary it doesn't happen. I would also be interested...

    Toyo tyres & Arval............

Just had a similar experience with my car. 22K miles and the fronts are at the 2mm wear indicator, so I phone my lease company (servicing and Tyres included). Not a problem they will inform Kwik Fit to call me and arrange a time...... 30 mins later a guy calls from Kwik Fit mobile Unit KF...

How does the remote heater really work?

I have used the heater timing function many times during winter and I'm very please with it. It does what it says on the box and warms the car. I generally have it set for 20mins or 30mins running to stop 10-5mins before I get in the car. I suppose any vent you have left closed would not...

    Squirrels ate my car

The literature states it is good for rubber as it stops it drying out and cracking.

    Squirrels ate my car

Try "Corrosion Block ACF-50 Grease" it's also good for rubber and wont wash off easily, but you might have to top it up once a year. It was recommended to me some years ago when I had mice chewing some items in my garage, it stopped it happening.

    Anticipated Fuel Economy

At the moment the BIK is low. If you are in the 40% bracket then, tax year 16/17 you will be paying aprox £88 per month (with fuel £140) next tax year 17/18 £114 (with fuel £180), tax year 18/19 £164 (with fuel £260) these figures are from "comcar.co.uk" For me it was a significant saving...

    Jump starting

I have been asked three times now if I could give a "jump" and have had to say no each time. Two of the times there were other cars about and so they went to ask others, but last time the guy did not believe me and thought I was just being mean spirited (we were the only ones in the car park...

    Any Replacement Wiper Blade Recommendations?

Very easy to change the front ones, never tried the rear one. If anything like the wife's car the rear wiper was not a standard item and had to be brought from the Dealership along with the wiper arm!

    Any Replacement Wiper Blade Recommendations?

Replaced mine not long after getting the car as I split one end of a wiper when it froze to the windscreen, had the replacements now for 15-16 months with no problems and are better than the ones that came with the car. They are Bosh flat style/Aero Blade type, Have used then on all my cars...

Speed Limiter - Does anyone use it?

Use it all the time. Great for road works (M1) where traffic speeds go up and down. I just set it at 55 and I know I won't get caught out (I will also use cruse as well if the road is clear ahead). Will also use the speed limiter in unfamiliar areas where I can concentrate on where I am...

    Emergency Boost Battery

I have seen one of these batteries in action last year. I am a member of a fishing club/venue and as such its not uncommon at the end of the day for people on returning to their car/vans to find the battery flat, due to lots of reasons; tail gaits left open, old cars, etc.... so we keep jump...

    Meadowhall charging

I've not come across the subject for a while so I will up date you on the charging situation at Meadowhall shopping centre. I myself have not been since last year (November I think) and we used to park at the rear in a charging zone/area. You had to get past a barrier to gain access. This had...

regarding outlander PHEV 3rd raw seats..

Unfortunately not. The last row of seats, as seen in the diesel version are removed for the extra motor. There isn't even room for a spear tyre.

chargemaster unit - tethered or untethered?

The problem I found with the tethered unit was the cable length it came with. Just shy of 3m this meant the cable was stretched or unsupported, with a potential to flap against the car! So at the time of instillation I went for a untethered an got a separate 5m cable. I have a post somewhere on...
