    Estimated Time to Deliver

Country : United Kingdom Model : GX4hs Does anyone know what the current estimated delivery time is from date of order? Local dealership seems rather vague on the subject. T.

Understanding the High and Low Voltage Systems

Maby & Mark.... many thanks for your informative replies. So let me see if I understand this correctly...... A. Low Voltage Lead Acid 12v Battery 1. Relatively low-capacity compared to regular car batteries 2. Charged from the Li-Ion generator (or should that be alternator) via the Li-Ion...

Understanding the High and Low Voltage Systems

I am trying to understand the workings of the two battery systems used in the PHEV. The best way to do that would be if there was a schematic diagram of the Input and Output from the two systems. So if anyone has such a diagram I would be very grateful if you would send me a copy. The...

    Charging in an enclosed area

So...... the risk of fire or fumes from charging overnight in a garage which connects to the house should be minimal ? I still find it just a little strange that the demonstator in the Austrian video takes the PHEV out of the garage (which in the video is adjoined to the house) then connects...

    Charging in an enclosed area

Hi Jaapv, thanks for your reply. I agree, under normal circumstances, intact and fault-free Li-ion batteries do not produce fumes. However, if a cell is faulty and overheats it does produce fumes of floride which are toxic. If exposed to fumes it is recommended that you seek medical help...

    Charging in an enclosed area

In the User Manual (or any other documentation) is there any reference to NOT charging in an enclosed environment - for example a garage ? I have viewed a number of official Mitsubishi videos on the PHEV. In ALL the videos the PHEV is always charged outside in open air. The latest video was...

Charging while on the Road in Europe

. Perhaps a different way to view this is the following.... The Li-ion battery in the PHEV drawns LESS Amps than a fast-boil kettle.... :!: Here is the calculation. A typical fast-boil kettle has a power-rating of 3000 watts. The formula to calculate the Amps drawn by your fast-boil kettle...

Owners in Europe testing the tow capabilities of the PHEV

. I thought that towing limits were standardised throughout the EU and that the legal limit for the PHEV is 750kg unbraked and 1500kg braked. Is this correct? Ignoring the possibility of sirens and blue flashing lights, would towing loads more than the above not have insurance and warranty...

    Pre-purchase questions

. Did I miss the answer to a really important question that Richard asked...? Or to put it another way - is it possible to run the Li-ion down to the critical emergency level or will the ICE/Generator always produce enough Watts to constantly replenish the Li-ion. As a practical example -...

Question about charging from the petrol engine

. Mitsubishi specs give the max gradient as 12% fully loaded and while pulling a 1500kg load. I can't recall any gradients in the Alps that were more than 12% so I am not surprised that this is "...a very rare occurence..." as stated by Jaapv. T.

Charging while on the Road in Europe

. Thanks Jaapv and Apyds for your replies. A couple of comments on those.... In my original post I wrote "13amps fused". What I meant here is that many appliances are fitted with a "13amp fused plug" to protect the house-wiring that goes to wall-sockets which in turn is typically rated at...

    PHEV FAQ's

. Mitsubishi answer a lot of questions about the PHEV here.... http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/vehicles/outlander-phev/faqs Cannot guarantee how up-to-date the answers are, but at least it is a start. T.

Charging while on the Road in Europe

. This question relates specifically to Western Europe including all EU countries and the non-EU countries of Switzerland and Monaco. Domestic electrical power supply in these countries is typically :- Voltage : 220/240 volts at 50Hz. - Amperes for standard wall socket : 13amps fused. -...
