    Outlander Phev Concept S

Car Buyer associated to Auto Express http://www.carbuyer.co.uk/news/143701/mitsubishi-outlander-phev-concept-s-teased suggest it maybe something we can retrofit to the PHEV but looking at some of the styling photos seems a bit radical to be a retrofit. I did read a little while somewhere in a...

Bumper protection (and UK Protection Kit)

I have just returned from a holiday (vacation) in France and saw a number of PHEV's from the Netherlands. Had a chat withy one guy who had also towed his caravan from the Netherlands and I noticed his bumper protection strip was a "proper" one stretching from the length of the bumper whereas...

    British Gas and fuse box

That's interesting, I have the British Gas 32amp and no problems other than the car dead due to a faulty control module, see separate post in technical). Do have another thought on this having used Public charging points and some of these are capable at 32amps and switch according to the cars...

Headlights - adjustment and overseas deflectors

I was interested to come across this thread having just returned from France and having a UK car, not having to alter the HID lights being a GX4H and I did have to drive in the dark. Despite what the manuals states the French drivers on the other side of the road repeatedly flashed me to turn...

Type and capacity of SD card

In UK, have a GX4H and been using a 32GB SDHC card mostly without problems but some tracks it seems to skip, not found out way yet, whether it is the tracks, card or car yet.

    Electronic Parking Brake: Why?

@maby I do the same and use the handbrake for one very good reason, it means my right foot is on the accelerator (gas) pedal and I can get off quicker!

    Motion Sensors Off?

Having just come of a ferry and switching off the alarm there is an option in Vehicle settings to switch off the theft alarm. I did this as easy to do and no one was going to drive off with the car whilst we where in transit. Once at the arrival port switched it back on again. Not as simple as...

Car dead after failed software update

OK, those that followed this thread or at least reading it for the first time will be pleased to know car is now working after 2 weeks. The problem was down to a faulty Control Module that was not even allowing the dealer to communicate with the car electronically. Once this was replaced...

    Warning sound when towing?

I have towed quite a bit with my PHEV and the indicators sound and work no differently than driving without towing, so yes the dealer needs to look at it. Question, do you have a GX3 with parking sensors or a GX4 with a camera?

Car dead after failed software update

Word of warning, yesterday using Android app it prompted me to update the vehicle software otherwise some functions wouldn't work. Followed the instructions to update the software and at 99% it failed. Whilst annoying everything else seemed OK except the app no longer could connect as no WiFi...

    Failed software update

I wanted to update an aspect of the car prior to travelling on a long trip and remote software app stated vehicle update available. So went through the steps to update the software and at 99% it sat there for a while then stated it had failed. Well these things happen except that no there is no...

Just Ordered!! Front parking sensors question

I had rear sensors to my GX4h as was not happy camera along would be enough. Sure enough come heavy rain camera was not clear and sensors did the job fine. Tend to rely on sensors more than camera but camera is great for reversing up to hitch when hooking up caravan. By the way the dealer did...

    Towing with the PHEV

I towed last weekend with the PHEV a caravan of 1500KGs and on a journey of 60 miles on hilly A roads with no battery got 25mpg. On purpose ran the battery down prior to trip as wanted to do a hill start with no battery with the van to get as near as possible as to what might happen on ferry...

    Rockford Fosgate System

I have just taken delivery of my PHEV and no sub woofer option available when I ordered, so I guess no, not sure how I would tell if it is a Rockford Fosgate system but doesn't look anything special.

Owners in Europe testing the tow capabilities of the PHEV

I hope it does the job of towing well as buying an Outlander PHEV to tow a 1500kgs caravan to France in August, going to be an expensive mistake if any issues! I will let you know. We will pick up the car on its first release in the UK in mid June we hope.
