BobEngineer - if you press the boot release button on the boot lid twice rapidly it will open like a normal boot quickly and without beeping. You will risk getting dirty fingers of course.

With all due respect I think if you had chosen a model with these beeps and bongs you would find it's not that easy to ignore. Try listening to the spoken word on the radio when you have an equally loud beep, beep, beep coming from the same direction. Trust me is isn't easy to ignore.

I selected the power button once and it beeped when the door is open and then twice into ready mode and it beeped. When the power switch is off you can't turn on the radio. So when the radio is on and door open you can't avoid the beeps. :evil:

What a prat, he/she should be fired immediately.

You can get a home charging point fitted free through the Energy Saving Trust. British Gas fitted mine and the EST covered the cost including upgrading my main fuseboard in the house. All in all about £600.

I told it to 'speed up' and it took me to a race track! :o

The cold weather seems to have a really big impact. After a full charge last night it only read a range of 15 miles this morning which was a bit depressing, however it did manage 21 miles before going flat. Nothing like 30 however.
