120V outlet cycles on/off throughout the day

I've been plugging at work fairly regularly over the past month and just realized that the outlets are on a timer (I think it's 15mins on, 15mins off). Is it possible that an on/off cycle such as this could be hard on the batter or charge controller? Or, since it's a 120V charge does it really not matter?

It should have no noticeable effect on the battery. It's not as if a huge surge of power is being turned on and off
