Not a PHEV post specifically, my be a more general DAB Radio thing.
I have noticed a couple of strange characteristics when compared to normal (MW) radio.

On a section of my journey to work, the dab signal is very weak/intermittent. I have noticed that if I put something electric on at this point (wipers, charge, heated seats etc), it cuts the radio out.
Secondly, in the exact opposite of normal radio, the signal is much weaker ie more cutting out, if the sky is very clear, best signal strength is when there is heavy cloud cover.
Thirdly, in the weak signal area, while stationary, the signal can cut in and out.

DAB coverage is very patchy round the country. It is pretty good in most residential areas, but a lot less in more rural areas. The Outlander is the first car I've had with DAB and I'm pleasantly surprised how well the radio works - DAB has a terrible reputation in cars.
