Hi - the granny charger blew my house electrics mid-charge. It's plugged into double socket on outside wall - been using it like that successfully for several months. Fuses re-set/replaced and the same socket works still (I plugged kettle into it as a test and worked fine), so I'm thinking it's the granny charger itself, not the socket. It was raining ..... anyone experienced water getting in via the 'manual stop' button?

I know we've talked about this “elsewhere” but for the benefit of other who might see similar: It’s common for the short cable to become damaged internally, which can cause intermittent connections or shorting. In this case, it sounds like a short that either trips the MCB (circuit breaker "fuse") or RCD (earth leakage detector).
