    Charging While Driving

Sorry to disaggree with others here but I find Charge useful quite often. If you are on a section of motorway and exceeding 74mph, heaven forbid, then you might as well capture some of the excess power generated. Without the charge button depressed all you do is use petrol and direct drive...

    Monitoring Electricity Cost

What is perhaps more worrying is that the figures are supposed to be analysed by "the government" to assess how successful their OLEV programs and grants are! The overestimates I have seen on my Chargevision account are around 25%, if this applies to all data collected then it will colour the...

    Monitoring Electricity Cost

Maddogetc, I do not think you need to overprice the electricity to allow for efficiency losses. I have carefully checked the charge cost, divided by the unit cost, hence Kwh, against my main meter and also an energy monitor clipped to the EV charge cable. I believe the car records very...

    Winter Tyres?

I am thinking that winter tyres might now be a good idea, and if I buy a second set of wheels I can use one of the "other" seasons wheel/tyres as a spare on longer journeys. Does anybody know if you can mix summer and winter tyres on the same axle? I also seem to remember reading somewhere...

    Power to Fully Charge?

Now that Chargevision have told me to disconnect the cable rather then use the key to "end" a charge i am getting realistic timings on the online analysis. However from Chargevision the last full charge says it used 11.8 kwh, the car, based on cost per Kwh, only 8.8 Kwh. I have read elsewhere...

    Front Parking Sensors....

Greendwarf, I don't NEED FPS, I wanted them, the same as I wanted a sunroof, satnav and Xenon headlamps. Having paid for something I expect it to be fit for purpose, whether I NEED it or not.

    Front Parking Sensors....

I have received a definitive reply from Mitsubishi customer services, the front parking sensors are the same for all Outlanders, they work as they do to suit the GX4hs which has other forward facing electronics which the parking sensors might interfere with. No one else has complained, so that...

    Front Parking Sensors....

Having complained to my local dealer that the FPS do not actually "point" forward but sideways he has come back with the following reply from Mitsubishi Technical. As the FPS would interfere with the adaptive cruise control on the GX5h the FPS are only fitted on the corners of the bumpers of...

    Charging

For Pheverish, I have found that the Chargevision data is inaccurate, often when a charge has ended the green light on the charger remains on and despite switching off with the key and disconnecting the cable the charge time does not stop. For example... 19.8.14 15.21-07.26 64.04 hours...

    Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

Maddogetc, CCC = Colt Car Company, sorry easier to type than Mitsubishi, and also for us oldies the original name pre Mitsubishi.

    Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

if you go into the settings menu on the main dashboard display then you will find an option for Tyre Pressure Monitor, hold dash button for 2 seconds to reset to current pressures. The next option 1 and 2 is for winter tyres apparently, which become setting 2. Direct from CCC this pm. All this...

    Rear View Camera

Rettoc, i have noticed the lack of guide lines and found that it happens when the "system" is booting, once the electronics are on then they can overlay the guide lines.

New member, PHEV company car ordered.

I have had my GX4h with front parking sensors for 4 weeks now. I am currently asking my dealer to either upgrade the front parking sensors or take the cost off the contract hire monthly rental! The sensors cover an area off to the side the bumper both left and right. If you pull into a...

    Front Parking Sensors

Despite bad publicity here I opted for the Portbury fit FPS, Oh what a mistake! Anything 45 degrees left or right of the front bumper sets them off. Anything in front of the bumper, basically between the headlamps, is not seen! Has anyone managed to "adjust" or modify the standard front...

What colour is your PHEV? - YOU CAN NOW REGISTER YOUR VOTES

Jaapv, What about the blue colour (glacier blue) in the UK? Also the standard trim is black in the uk, but for around £1500 you can have the seats and door trims reupholstered in virtually any colour leather, even orange!
