Expected value in three years time

I sold my Prius when I bought my PHEV. It cost me just under £20K new and it was four years old when I sold it. I got just over £10K for it, and that was just (for convenience) through one of the 'buy any car' sites - so it certainly couldn't have been top whack. I suspect that a key reason why...

    Wifi password

How odd. I tried it again just now and the password was accepted. Now all I have to do is go through the fob-clicking race to pair my App. :-)

    Wifi password

Having upgraded my iPhone, I have to pair it to my car. I had no problem establishing the Bluetooth link but I can't even get to first base with the App. When I select the car wifi address (name), it asks me for a password. I know this is supposed to be on a card but, tho' I have found the...

    suicidal satnav

I must confess I miss the 'Mr T' voice I had installed on my TomTom :-)

Is overnight charging cheaper? If not, why the timer?

We're with Eon, and they were happy to swap our meter to a dual-tariff meter that would enable us to switch to Economy 7. For most people E7 isn't worthwhile because the daytime tariff is more expensive but we also have solar panels and that reduces our daytime consumption. I reckoned that with...

    Charging at dealers

When I picked my car up from the dealer, they'd just used an ordinary 13 amp socket for charging. Very low tech. Maybe we need to contact clockworr radio inventor Trevor Bayliss to work on a wind-up version to charge our PHEVs :-)

    It's arrived!

No complaints. It's a comfortable drive. Frankly, I'm not obsessing over the MPG (which I haven't even looked at yet). I'm still getting to grips with the audio/mapping system! Haven't yet managed to get DABS to detect Radio 4 Extra, despite trying at three or four different locations (so it...

Informing Mitsubishi of Common Problems and Suggestions

I was a bit shocked to see how far the door on the charge sockets sticks out. It would have been better if it came off altogether. A door that sticks out so far from the car (and is almost asking for a knock) is a lot less elegant than Audi's solution of a sliding gate on the radiator grill.

    iPhone IOS8

Has anyone had a problem using the Mitsubishi App with IOS8. I had no problem pairing my iPhone with the car and seemingly getting the app. to work, but the times are all blank when I try to select them. Dealer speculates that the issue may be compatibility with the new IOS.

    It's arrived!

Finally picked up my PHEV yesterday. I'm liking it so far - tho' it'll take me several weeks just to go through the manuals! Stopped off en route back to try one of the DC fast chargers at the motorway service station. It seemed to work pretty well - took the charge from 30% to 70% in the time...

    Insurance costs

I just switched my car insurance (Aviva) from my Prius to the PHEV for the month remaining on the insurance contract. I think the change was cost neutral but they added a 'compulsory excess' of £250 to my voluntary excess of £150, making a total of £400 excess - which seems to me to be very...

    Source London charging points

I have a Source West card. I had the impression that that would also work with Source London (and the other Source Whatever) networks. Did I get that wrong?

    South East or South Central

Atlantic Grey now silently prowling the streets around Bromley. Got it on Friday - absolutely love it so far - everything I'd hoped for. Hi Webbo. Can you point me to any charging locations in Bromley? I'm in Tunbridge Wells now but I still visit Bromley and Orpington from time to time - I'm...

    Discounts are available

Dealer I found online is an official Mitsubishi UK dealership - just in another part of the country. I think the same is true for others who found online discounts.

    Discounts are available

My local dealer offered no discount and a derisory amount for trade-in on my Prius (£2000 less than I was offered by the 'buy any car' merchants - who I eventually sold to). I still would have gone back to my local dealer if they'd match the price I got online (not as low, btw, as some of those...
