2018 upgrades to PHEV 4H - are they a poor idea

Not necessarily a Mitsubishi thing, my Golf has appleplay etc and it works well. It would not put me off. I would swap my MMCS out for the new system if I could. It’s not the best system......

    SatNav on a 4H - Where?

I have to admit having a Golf with CarPlay and it’s good. It’s no 1/2 arsed solution. You get live traffic updates, full Siri control. If I could swap out our existing MMCS then I’d do it in a flash !

    New car

I’ve had 25.... Towing :) I always think of the battery as free power so, on average I can get 35-37 mpg normal driving on a motorway. So with 25 miles of additional then we’re into the 60’s. Man maths I know but it averages out. I’d say on mixed normal usage we average or are averaging 50 mpg...

Change old MMCS for 2017 Apple play

Does anyone know if it’s possible to swap out the older non-apple play model with the newer version with ? I don’t want to swap for a non Mitsubishi unit as I want to retain the standard info display

    Towing with a 2017 PHEV

Great post and your findings are 100% the same as ours. We tow a Compass Rambles at 1100 MRO. MPG sits as you say at 26-28 depending on terrain. We do the same, let the battery drop by 10% then use Save. Wait until we're close and drop to EV. Stability and acceleration are fine, no better...

    Random number - battery mileage

Hi folks, I'm well aware of the randomness of the battery gauge. Normally it shows between 21-23 on a 13a change and lasts about 24-25 miles But if you change and charge on a high voltage point to 80% the next charge shows 27-31 miles. Odd ?

    Water depth

Just wondered if anyone knew what the maxwmater depth is safe for the PHEV ? We've had a few flash floods here and the stupidity of some made me wonder, in EV mode, what's safe ? http://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/gallery/roads-submerged-cars-stranded-gloucester-239533

    Camping and towing a trailer

Don't panic, providing you have fuel (petrol) the car will mostly take care of itself. We tow our caravan with little or no issues, at worst you're not optimising your mpg. If you can charge then why not benefit from 20 odd miles of 'free' power :)

    g3h+ help

Hi, We're quite new PHEV owners so, I'll tell you our thoughts and experiences so far. We had a 1.6dci 4x4 Qashqai before, not that common but a lovely car. At the time my wife was doing 60 miles on B roads. We averaged 41 mpg over its life. Excluding towing when it managed 25mpg So a job...

    Charge Flap Illumination

Hi, has anyone replaced the charge flap lamp with an LED. Is it a straight swap (no can-bus) and any hints on what type of lamp is required? Thanks !

    Using Reg Braking

As fairly new PHEV'rs this is what we've found. My wife's normal drive is 12 miles a day, so with air-con and heating we can do 2 days worth per charge. So day-to-day is only Ev, if we go further then we will see if a free charge is available so a 60 mile trip at worst uses approx 30 miles...

    Flat Aux battery

Quite a long history with Nissans and the same issue. They do replace under warranty or had a nistory of. I suspect as part of the group a lot of suppliers are the same

    Loud Squeaking noise

Had exactly this on our Qashqai, it was a stone that had flicked and very very slightly dunked the guard on the back. Must just be when turning the load and movement in the bearings was enough to make the noise. A tweak with the screwdriver and nothing for 12months until we swapped
