Seems we're getting a bad rep.

Interesting article. I think we are getting a bad rep only (as the author writes), because as the proportion of Outlander PHEV's on the road increases, so does the proportion of complaints. I do feel aggrieved though in the attitude that (just because we dont have to run on electric) we are...

    I have been PHEVed :)

I had mine done with EV, however due to lack of knowledge on both ends of the phone I ended up with an untethered box... which means I had to go and buy a cable (from Nuworld) to use it, whereas I would have preferred to go for the no-cost option, and get a box with a permanent cable attached...

Outlander PHEV SMS Remote App now available

i am a little confused; i was told that the remote charging could only do 10 minutes at a time...so in other words, if you want the car to be warmed by 7am, if you set it for 630 (giving yourself 30 mins of warming) in fact the pre-heating will stop at 640... so it was best to set the timer for 650.

Company car driver - no regrets!

thank you Dr S! I too am a company car owner, and (apart from the slight 'design-moan') I am pleased with the PHEV. You mentioned front sensors tho - was that a dealer-fit extra? And also, how does it work with getting elec charging costs back from you company? Our accountants are bit...

    Beeping tailgate

BeeJay and others; can you explain exactly where your sticky tape goes please? Do you have to remove the back plastic cover first to see the 'holes'?

    Quality Rubber Floor Mats?

rubber mats - I got these from ebay; great fit (has 1 long rear section that goes over the slight hump) and good quality. Will post this also on the other (bargain mat) thread... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360986592558? ... EBIDX%3AIT

    Pre heating in the morning

thanks for the reply... another foible of the PHEV! i know its been said many times on here, but the software turns a 5* car into a 4*... which is a great shame :(

    Pre heating in the morning

maybe i am being thick... when i go to set the pre-heat from the car itself it allows me to set an actual time... granted, only for 1 slot per day, but i am doing a pre-heat for 30 mins before setting off, and as it is a timed setting presumably i could set it longer. am i mis-interpreting...

Question from a newbie - just taken delivery of a GH4s

morning all. As a company car driver i do a lot of motorway miles, I dont get full benefit of the fuel savings but I do get the tax benefit! My experience of Charge on M/Ways is that very little electric miles are gained for an increased loss of petrol miles, so far I havent seen the benefit. I...

    TMC

hi, proud new owner of a PHEV (black, of course!). Done lots of miles this week (1200!) so not really here to talk about the wonders of electricity, but have had lots of practice with the Navi... some comments: it's not the best system in the world, is it? Still, the unit looks good, feels...

@ DrSlackB - yes I am in same position, and will be doing the same (itemising cost thru ChargeMaster and letting my company reimburse me)

Inbound ships for September UK deliveries

ordered mine early July, was told 1/2 week Sept, checked with Dealer yesterday, he now advised 11th Sept at Portbury, then approx 1 week to get to him. So, could be on Themis Leader maybe? I was also offered help with a loan car until mine came in (as I am company car man, my Passat is going...

    Discounts available?

hi - you will find posts elsewhere on this forum but to recap on my experience, i had a £2k discount on top of the £5k, with a couple of little extras (different alloys, boot liner). I am a company car buyer, but my co is buying it outright off local dealer, so dont know why a private buyer...

The showoff thread - post your Outlander here!

hi, with regard to alloys with the black centres, I asked the salesman and he said he would 'unofficially' swop them with the wheels from the Diesel version (here in the UK the Diesel can be got with the black centres, the PHEV are officially all-silver) when mine comes in...cant wait!

    Discount

any Welsh buyers out there - Nathaniels in Bridgend offered £2k off list price, I also managed to get the chrome/black alloys from the Diesel plus boot liner. Had to pay for metallic plus tow bar but still thought was a good deal! :D

    PHEV - Ordered!

hi all, regarding shipping I have paid deposit with dealer middle July, and been told delivery by 2nd week Sept... can anybody else verify if this sounds likely? Bit worried when I hear posters saying things like 'ordered in June, expecting end Sept etc'... thanks :)
