    Goodbye and thank you

Just sold my PHEV which I bought new in 2014. I bought it primarily for London driving (including the congestion zone). I wasn't expecting it to be great but six years of ownership left me really impressed with its abilities and the thought that went into the concept and engineering. It really...

    5th Service UK - cost?

There was a very useful thread on 4th service costs in the UK for Mitsubishi dealers. My 5th is due in June. Wondered if anyone has any experience/costs yet?

    Winter tyres 16 vs 18

Really interesting video on smaller vs bigger rims for winter tyres which for the PHEV is 16 compared to 18 inch. Conclusion is that the smaller rims are actually only marginally better in winter. Of much more relevance is the choice of winter tyre. In addition, as we probably knew anyway, they...

    Parking in Westminster - changes!

Chaps, It was nice while it lasted! If, like me, you have been enjoying free parking in pay & display bays in Westminster (up to 4 hours) please note the changes from 10 April - https://www.westminster.gov.uk/electric-vehicles You now have to pay for 10 minutes to enjoy up to 4 hours so not...

Maximising battery life - full or part charge?

I suspect like many who park right by their charging point, I plug in as a matter of course and then remove the cable when I need the car. As a result, the car spends probably the majority of time plugged in and fully charged. Is this optimal for battery life or is there anything else I should...

HIRE CAR EXPERIENCE / BATTERY MANAGEMENT?

Just returned from a trip to the far north of Scotland which required a 4x4 hire (provided by Hertz). We usually get pretty primitive Hi-Lux/Warrior vehicles so very surprised when a colleague turned up in a PHEV GX4 in precisely my own car spec and colour. He had no idea how to charge so set it...

Electric heating - really not very good!

I've been following the various threads on the PHEV being poor in the cold and the ICE kicking in. Out of curiosity I went out this morning half an hour or so before the school run and turned the car on, cranked up the heating and left it on - still attached to the charging point. The engine...

Arrow indicating a button on my dash screen - what is it?

On the right of my dash screen about a third of the way down I sometimes get a symbol which looks like a button with an arrow above it . I've been through the manual with no joy. It is shown in the post below on error codes. Anyone know what it means?

    Dash Cam fitting -easy!

For info, I've just fitted a dash cam easily and neatly to my Outlander. I've gone for the Transcend DrivePro which gets good reviews, doesn't have GPS (which I don't want/need) and is under £100. Fitted it with the supplied stick-on mount and it fits very neatly to the left of the mirror (RHD)...

New UK owner - thoughts after 500 miles

Been reading (and benefiting) from this forum for a month or so. Seemed a good time to contribute! I've had a Pearl White GX4H for just over a month. I ordered it straight after reading an AutoExpress review at Easter (without a test drive although did extensive research) and so far I am very...
