    Squeaky Seats

Ours fold down flat Andy, also 2014 Aus. What catches on the centre console? Mark

    Reset (or find) WiFi password?

Our card was folded and stuck together. It took me ages to realise that I had to peel the card open to see the WiFi password on the rear. If I remember it is a piece pf plactic type paper about the sice of a buisness card. NAPpy

    3 phase charging

I made a 3 phase to 15A adaptor which works fine. Connect the neutral, earth and the live to one phase in the 3 phase plug and the other end to a standard 15A female and you will have 240V for the box to connect into. NAPpy

    Charging via Caravan

Agreed, I see a constant 2.26kW being drawn until the last little bit. NAPpy

    Flappy paddle functions

My wife had an ASX before the PHEV and it had the excat same flappy paddles as the PHEV to simulate gears, -ve went down a gear (extra braking) and the +ve went up a gear (less braking) so the PHEV system seems to make sense to me. As for the gear knob, it is in sequence with an auto gear lever...

Can I run an electric cooler (4A) while driving for hours?

I've had an Engle in the boot running off the center consul 12v outlet on a seven hour trip without issue. The 12v battery is topped up from the traction battery so there is no issue but I would not hard wire it though. NAPpy

    Mysterious beeping

Can you record it and post it?

    Brake light behaviour

The Australian ones do not activate the brake lights if paddling but the lights do come on when ACC slows the car. Lights seem to come on around the equivalent of B3 braking. NAPpy

    Dash cam wiring advice

Oh, trough the roof lining, down the pillar and behind the glove box and just plugged into the lighter socket.

    Dash cam wiring advice

Ours came with a double backed tape 8083. Behind the mirror stuck on the dotty stuff. You cannot really see it from the outside and definitely not from the inside. I love the way the Mitsi people thrash you r car around saying that it is a bit of shit during a service  NAPpy

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

Does the anti yaw system turn off when you turn off stability control? I had the stability control off as it was way too violent trying to correct the car on gravel. NAPpy

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

Not that I can detect gwatpe.

    Let's go pure EV...

That is exactly what I want. Will also prevent the ACC from doing the same thing? I doubt that. As the solution is only manipulating signals between the accelerator and the ECU. Yep, that is what I thought hence why the flash would suit me better as we do use ACC just about all the time! NAPpy

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

At those speeds there was no 4x4, lock was the only way to engage the rear motor from what I observed. It's not an issue for me as I will not, or at least not often, be doing that type of trip again though I will miss my high speed gravel fun, there is nothing better than sliding around a...

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

I hear you gwatpe, I was stopping every 300km just so I could get to the next stop without running out. I sat on 117gps on the blacktops with some full throttle acceleration overtakes and averaged 9l/100km including the power draining 140km on dirt. NAPpy

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

It was only 120kph, I would have liked higher but the discharge was not allowing it. Turn off the A/C at 39c!!! You have to be kidding ;) In high power demands I always hit the charge, not sure why, perhaps the ensure the ICE is running, like when I was on the beach in soft sand. Anyhow...

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

Okay, must be a function of 4x4. Bit disappointing really but it is what it is. We normally get 3,000 - 4,000 out of a tank of fuel so generally I'm still happy

How long/distance to regenerate battery to 80%

So how do you guys go where the speed limit is not stifled to 110 and enforced with an over zealous police force like it is in Aus? Last time I was in Europe (last year) we sat on about 140 on the 130 freeways, given this the PHEV would go into turtle mode quite quickly! Cheers NAPpy
