EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

Sorry, I didn't receive a notification of your reply and have even since sold the car. For anyone reading this in future: yes, replacing the control unit did fix the problem. The new unit took 2-3 months to arrive from Japan. Mitsubishi paid 10% of the cost of the part, so my total cost...

EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

After a phone call on Friday, the latest is that they have confirmed that it is the control unit. They have quoted me €2750 for a new part and €350 to fit it - and it is on back-order until at least September. They also say that they can try fitting a second hand unit and try to reprogram it...

EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

I haven't actually tried to run the car until the battery was empty. It might be that running it in charge mode might have helped keep the battery topped up. The dealer in question is pretty much the only Mitsubishi garage in my province. I even called up the garage I bought it from back in...

EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

No, but I did use one once the problems started again to confirm that it was the same set of error codes as the garage found last year.

EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

Yes I had checked the tyres beforehand, they are all the same type and were installed at the same time, and the wear is not drastically different across them.

EV + ACC system service required - rear motor or control unit faulty?

Hi, My 2014 PHEV has started coming up with "EV system service required" and "ACC system service required" messages. The errors will appear either when starting the car, or on a journey, or - very occasionally - not at all. Once the messages appear, the car will no longer drive with the...

    Check engine lite code p0a45

I am having the exact same problem and would love to know what Ranger20's conclusion was :D But I see he hasn't logged in since March so it might be a long shot.

    Badges & DAB query

Yep, just glue. I asked my dealer to remove them before delivery, and you'd never known they were there. They used a hairdryer/heat gun and he had warned me that there might be a small scratch underneath, but there's nothing at all.

    Alarm on new PHEV

    Thanks, I'll nag them again.

    Alarm on new PHEV

My dealer won't budge on the 1000 euro to fit a class 3 Cobra :( They claim that it costs them 700 to buy the device and the rest is for installation. But Autotec will fit the same alarm for 650 including installation on-location. Interesting what you say about Mitsubishi's own insurance - was...

    Alarm on new PHEV

This might be very Netherlands-specific, but here goes. I have bought a new PHEV and will pick it up next Monday. While doing some research into insuring it, it seems that the basic security system that comes with it - a 'class 1' immobiliser - is not sufficient for most insurance companies...
