2020 PHEV SEL, Curt 56296 wiring harness not working. The one behind the left panel is hooked up properly but where do I plug the one for the battery?

That is the kit for the non-PHEV. This is the PHEV kit: https://www.curtmfg.com/part/56412 The correct kit has the red wire attached to the black box with enough length to attach to the 12V battery. It says "excluding Canadian models" though, I'm not sure why exactly...
