New user. Help needed with wifi Approved

i just picked up my new outlander today and I'm trying to get the remote App to work. I have successfully registered both an android phone and an iPhone BUT the car doesn't seem to be giving out any wifi signal at all when switched off and parked in the drive. Any ideas? Thanks!

The Wifi is quite short range - have you tried connecting while standing close to the car?

Yes I've tried connecting while sitting in it

Sorted! It's working today, perhaps battery lower than I had realised yesterday.

Any idea how to boost the wifi signal? Please do share...

Some people have had success with a simple WiFi Extender, But bear in mind that the WiFi Extender MUST be located close enough to your parked PHEV to get a decent signal level in the first place...

My phone will only pick up a wifi signal if it can 'see' the passenger door. I assume the aerial is on that side. Took me a while to work out why I couldn't connect the App from one part of the house but works better from upstairs
