Hey all,
I've just joined this forum and have already learnt plenty about my PHEV, despite having it for over 8 months! Thanks for that.
I had a search around but couldn't find this posted about before, but I received my 2017 Outlander PHEV without a map card. After a bit of a crisis where my partner's phone died, and she was lost in the middle of nowhere, I thought it might make sense to sort out a card for the car as backup.
I notice you can buy Mitsubishi map cards online, but I was wondering if its possible to use an existing SD card, assuming you can get the map data on there (which seems possible https://mitsubishi.sda.navshop.com/downloads/) ?
I've tried this, but the car doesn't recognise the card, its exFAT format, couldn't find much to suggest what else it should be.
Also, I read around that you need a subscription to download the latest maps, but the website above doesn't require one.
Is it possible to use your own SD card with map data? Any resources I can be linked to?
Thanks very much,
James
