Turning off the alarm completely (internal and external) - MY17

So had an unpleasant experience recently where my car 's aux battery went flat on a boat after 2 hour trip in rough seas.

I did the "wiper stalk" procedure and I did hear the confirmation beep, however it seems like the alarm still went off. I'm suspecting that this procedure only turns off internal sensors.

Does anyone have experience with completely turning off the car's alarm, internal AND external? Am a bit stumped.

You could try manually locking the doors, i.e. lock the last door with the key.

I don't know if that works, but worth a try.

Other than that, maybe not locking the car?

Ended up not locking the car in fact.
