Ask for the build date as well. A "new" 5h car I've just been offered has a build date of Jan 2016 so it's already 7 months old! If I order a similar priced Evoque it will be built in Sepember!

Just been told within 28 days which is pretty good. Had a look at the Volvo v90 two engine and delivery on those is Feb 2017!

Sure a BMW 3i salesman just told me that they have near doubled the range from their battery system by some relatively simple either battery/software update, so the new 3i's coming out have a well extended range at not great cost.

Wow that sounds serious. I assumed they had an anti-trapping mechanism. I'm not litigious but you need to report this to the dealer and have them sort it and come back with some good reasons for you. Did someone do some modifications for motability?

I have an Evoque at the moment and tested a Disco Sport and F-Pace today. Evoque still top. Test the PHEV through Wittlesford tomorrow! It will have to be a real dog of a drive not to make economic sense as a company purchase (or the wife might not like the colours :) .
