NE Scotland - 4 factory tyres going cheap!

Sadly, I no longer have my PHEV :( When it went, it was wearing winter boots and as such I have a full set of the factory 225/55 R 18 98H Toyo R37 tires stored in the shed with less than 1,000 miles on them. I measured the exact tread depth this morning with a vernier calliper and all 4 have...

Towing lights fuse - anyone know where it is?

Hi, I had a factory tower fitted and just noticed that the trailer lights don't work. I've checked the trailer against another car, so know it's fine. Anyone know where the fuse for it is? I've checked the manual and there seems to be no mention of it. ATB, Kev.

    Hands free audio

Yep, normal. That's just the way it works. Likewise the satnav voice only comes from the drivers side door. Kev.

Why the accelerator "kick down switch"?

Ah! Never having used the speed limiter, I did not know about that feature. The notch you feel between full throttle and and the pedal hitting the floor. Kev.

Why the accelerator "kick down switch"?

As per the title, why does the PHEV have an accelerator pedal "kick down switch"? It seems totally redundant without a gearbox and the performance does not change between full throttle above the "kickdown" and pressing harder to enter the "kickdown" zone. I wonder if it can be bypassed...... Kev.

Reversing camera is useless at this time of year!

I had the same issue, but after adjusting the screen brightness and contrast it is now fine and its "night vision" is perfectly OK (assuming the camera is not covered in gunk ;) ). Kev.

Reversing camera is useless at this time of year!

Seems like it is just me then. Perhaps made worse due to the fact that I live down the end of a farm track. Kev.

Reversing camera is useless at this time of year!

My previous 3 cars with reversing cameras were 4x4s and none of their cameras were affected by dirt like this. You could drive them all for a week on the mankiest roads before having to clean the camera. The PHEVs camera is as good as useless at this time of year - clean it before setting off...

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

I had a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D fitted and cannot recommend them enough. They have been used on snow, ice and frost and provide great levels of traction in all conditions. Kev.

Reversing camera is useless at this time of year!

Anyone else find that the reversing camera is useless at this time of year? It seems constantly covered in road grime making it pretty much unusable - even when cleaning it before each and every drive. My previous 3 cars call had a reversing camera and none exhibited the problem to the same...

    Volume on hands free

On the iPhone at least, turn up the volume on the phone too as it controls the Bluetooth volume. I would expect other devices act similarly. Kev.

    Pre heating in the morning

I think the heat achieved is determined by what you leave the heater set to the last time you turn the car off. Kev.

    EV Charging in Aberdeenshire

The CYC card is all you will need up here. Even they are few and far between. Have a look on ZapMap - https://www.zap-map.com/live/ Kev.

    Winter Tyres?

I believe winter tyres are an essential item when the average temperature is 7c or below. After some research and reading all the reviews, I've just ordered a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D and will have them fitted on Monday. Kev.

    Eco Button

The ECO button can also turn the rear motor off, therefore making the car 2WD, in some low power requirement situations. Kev.

    Off-road experience

I live on a farm and some of our farm roads are anything but smooth - no harsh feedback through the wheel for me. Same offroad - drives just fine. Kev.
