My spare tyre solution. with photo's.

Though he doesn't mention the third important spec... offset. Possibly OK on the rear, but just a tad more vital to be wary of if fitted to the front, maybe?

Part Wanted Space saver wheel wanted in the UK

You might find info in ..."a Maverick alternative" thread of some use.

Spare wheel / space saver … a Maverick alternative?

Interesting. Can you confirm that the Outlander rims are designed to be run-flat compatible, please?

Spare wheel / space saver … a Maverick alternative?

I've not received any further info regarding the offset, though looking at the WILLTHEYFIT.com graphic I posted I'm not too concerned. If someone who has a genuine Outlander spare can post a similar graphic, that could prove useful. Pretty please?

Cargo area - filling the two open spaces beside and below the floor

Just as an example, these pics show the SAAB 9-5 solution. The bins are easily removed and the lids are solid (plywood?) with carpet covers.

Beeping while standing still or driving under 20km/h. Help 🫢

Carrying anything remotely heavy on a seat (handbag?) can trigger the seat belt alarm. You could also try fastening all belts and see if it still chimes.

    A Running Costs Summary

Update 29 Nov 2023 8 months into ownership and consumption costs are looking pretty good (or at least I can live with 'em!) with over £100 seemingly saved over barely 3000 miles. Nothing quite like playing with buttons and paddles as best suits driving needs to turn you into a more careful and...

    A Running Costs Summary

Like many a new owner, I dare say, I’ve kept a careful track of charging and petrol costs as they relate to mileage covered (pics show a summary of my first three months use along with a general view of the more detailed spreadsheet). As indicated, I don’t do much local running around and have...

Does Anyone have a Outlander PHEV 2023 Shop Manual

There's a free-to-download (probably older model) maintenance manual here... http://mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/outlander_phev/online/Service_Manual_2014/spec/pdf/PDI_524550484556_19_003_ENG_100.pdf ...though I can't say if it will meet your need. Good luck.

Spare wheel / space saver … a Maverick alternative?

A recent eBay search found that pre-owned Outlander spacesavers in the UK seem to be very expensive - typically £150+! Why? Those for other cars with the same size tyres were being offered for much less - such as a CR-V wheel at around £40 to £80. The only trouble is that the Outlander hub...

    Phantom Unlocking

Thanks Andy for taking the time for such a comprehensive reply. I've now read the Manual section on security too (head still spinning!), which you've so succinctly summarised and added to. Who'd have thought they'd use the wiper switch etc, to cancel security functions?! I've no concerns over...

    Phantom Unlocking

Hi All, Have had my first PHEV (67 5hs) a month now and wondering when the head-scratching’s gonna stop! So much to learn about and old habits to overcome! Then there’s this puzzling problem that has me stumped, so any advice gratefully received… the alarm’s gone off three times this week and...
