Android auto / Carplay on IOS

Hi! does anyone here know how to set up android auto or carplay to work in the MMCS phev?

I have seen in an article that the new facelift model will include connectivity to android and IOS

If anyone has a suggestion for a replacement head unit that supports Android Auto (or runs Android directly) that would be great.

I have seen past allusions to such things being possible but no concrete 'this model works, this is what i did' answers.

I've had an email from Mitsu to note that android auto and apple carplay aren't supported on the facelifted model (i'm expecting delivery mid Nov). The article doesn't say they are included, simply says that the features will be on display at the Frankfurt autoshow..... so a tad misleading. Would be a nice to have for sure.

Definitely doesn't work on the 2016 edition, just tried on mine.
