Can we clear up Serial vs Parallel drive?

Charge mode makes sense only when using highways. For all other cases, I would recommend the save mode. It's more user-friendly for newbies.
 
Of course Charge should be used only on highways or constant speed over 65km/h.

Basically the goal is to be using the engine only in parallel mode on highways and if one have a lot of city driving ahead better charge on the highway leading to it.
 
This all seems so involved, I just run my old 2014 model in ECO mode and try to drive as smoothly as possible. I must try using CHARGE when running above 65kph.
 
Well, that's if you want to play the economy + planet saving game. If you don't care about it, just use the car as is, e.g. Normal mode.
I actually find this to keep me involved in driving and less sleepy/tired after long trips.

And, of course, I'm really into making sure the money I invested in this car is going to make sense compared to the previous petrol Outlander I had. So far, so good.
