Wow that is great - I guess that's what I get for driving an 8 year old SUV. I miss out on what the latest vehicle technology can do! This is really good news for my commute as I often run into stop and go traffic for approximately 1 mile as traffic funnels onto a narrow bridge.

I agree - the Model X is a pure electric vehicle, not a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Except for people buying the Outlander PHEV purely for electric driving (which means they never expect to travel farther than 20 miles or so), the vehicle is not a comparable.

I think the idea is that you have wireless connection while you are in the vehicle/driving etc. I don't think the idea is that it's supposed to supply wifi from the vehicle into your house, and actually I think the signal would be weak on purpose to limit anyone else trying to connect and use...

Bullit - Are you in Sweden? The first shipment of 20 Outlander PHEVs arrived in Sweden in October, according to the link above. When did ordering first open? March seems quite early to still not have received your plug-in!

Does anyone have info on the auxiliary power? How much power does it output, and will it be available in the US? I assume it is outputting DC power, but that isn't very useful, so perhaps they convert it to AC?

Congratulations! I can't wait for when mine will be available... In my experience, if tires have a flat spot they will usually round out again after driving on them for a while. 5 weeks of sitting still isn't really too long and modern tire construction should be able to handle it without issue...

I guess Mitsubishi had to make a decision - offer a third row seat and put the controller components into the cargo space, or otherwise eliminate the third row and maintain the large cargo space.

Mitsubishi has announced that pricing on the i-MiEV will be lowered by $6000 but there is no news on the Outlander PHEV :( I was hoping Mitsubishi would set some US rollout plans or something interesting. But we still don't know when the Outlander plug-in hybrid will be available in the US...

In my experience, dealerships are way farther behind then they should be on new vehicles like this. I had troubles getting any information on the Ford Focus Electric until it was actually at my local dealership! It's like they didn't even know it was coming until a truck showed up with it on it...
