NE Scotland - 4 factory tyres going cheap!

Sadly, I no longer have my PHEV :( When it went, it was wearing winter boots and as such I have a full set of the factory 225/55 R 18 98H Toyo R37 tires stored in the shed with less than 1,000 miles on them. I measured the exact tread depth this morning with a vernier calliper and all 4 have...

Towing lights fuse - anyone know where it is?

Hi, I had a factory tower fitted and just noticed that the trailer lights don't work. I've checked the trailer against another car, so know it's fine. Anyone know where the fuse for it is? I've checked the manual and there seems to be no mention of it. ATB, Kev.

Why the accelerator "kick down switch"?

As per the title, why does the PHEV have an accelerator pedal "kick down switch"? It seems totally redundant without a gearbox and the performance does not change between full throttle above the "kickdown" and pressing harder to enter the "kickdown" zone. I wonder if it can be bypassed...... Kev.

Reversing camera is useless at this time of year!

Anyone else find that the reversing camera is useless at this time of year? It seems constantly covered in road grime making it pretty much unusable - even when cleaning it before each and every drive. My previous 3 cars call had a reversing camera and none exhibited the problem to the same...

Solved - Internet and car app at the same time

Guys, If you are in the car, you will have noticed that the phone (iPhone at least) will by default connect to the car WiFi which then kills all data access on the phone. There is a solution I've just come across this morning :) Go into your phone's WiFi settings and rather than accepting the...

    Great headlight upgrade :)

Guys, After driving a few nights, I've been really impressed with the dipped HID headlamps, but equally unimpressed with the full beam. There is probably not too much wrong with the full beam, but the dipped HIDs are so good, the standard full beam doesn't seem to penetrate the night much...

    "charging interrupted by system malfunction"

Guys, I've now had a partial charge a few times with the dash showing the message "charging interrupted by system malfunction". Any ideas? Kev.

    Beeping tailgate

Guys, After only 3 days, the beeping tailgate is driving me nuts! Does anyone know how to disable the beep? More than willing to cut the wires to the beeper. Cheers, Kev.

Charging - turn off charger before connecting / disconnect?

Guys, In the official Mitsiubishi video (http://youtu.be/ipww1QSv714) they say to turn off the wall charget before connecting / disconnecting from the car. Is this really a requirement of simply anti-litigation safety advice? Kev.

Black fog / running light surrounds

Guys, Does anyone know where you can buy the black fog / running light surrounds shown in this photo: So much neater that the silver ones which will be fitted to my black car! Kev.

    CO2 / 15,000 miles compared

I was trying to work out the pollution of various cars earlier and came up with this: It just seems too incredible to be true! Have I gone wrong somewhere? Kev.

    British Gas and fuse box

I'm due to have my charging point fitted on Monday by British Gas. Will they need to install a second fuse box? We had the house rewired about 3 years ago and have a new consumer unit which has 3 free blanking plate spaces left. As I understand it, this would be enough for a further RCD and...

    Tyres on UK cars

Guys, Which tyres come fitted as standard to the UK spec cars? Are they some super fuel efficient, low rolling resistance / low noise jobs that are useless offroad? Kev.

Hello and just ordered mine :)

Hi guys, I've just ordered my Outlander PHEV yesterday and with 12 weeks to wait.... well, I hate waiting! Gone for a GX4hs in black (why do they call it Amethyst which is a transparent purple?) with removable tow bar, protection pack, footwell lighting and a couple other small bits and bobs...
