Timed heating - does it work?

I've had my PHEV for just over a year, and I'm not sure if my timed heating works or not! I have it set to come on at 0530 on a Monday so it's warm when I leave for work at 6am. I used the app to set it for 30mins (it's plugged in). But it never seems to be warm - and on checking an old thread...

GX4hs Lane Departure Warning - set to "off" at startup

It can be done - used the radical and little-used technique of reading the manual, and there on page 7-61 it is. Turn it off using the button, then hold the button for 10+ seconds, when "LDW2" appears on the screen. The LDW will then be set to "off" when you start up, and you need to "opt in"...

    MMCS - cost per charge

Rang the leccy company to get my kWh cost and went to put it in the MMCS. The field to put it in with £ as the currency has three zeros and two decimal places - so I put 10.75 in - is this right, or have I just told it my leccy costs £10.75 per kWh?

Got it - week one reflections

Picked up my grey GX4hs on 1 March, then promptly went to South Africa for two days, so I've only actually had about three days in the car, all local driving - but a few first impressions: The quiet is spooky - my kids find it hysterical, I love it. Saving charge is addictive - I've come from...

    LED DRLs - best price?

Thinking of adding these to my new Phev (I'm only going to put official Mitsi ones on), and see the "official" price is £300 fitted. I've seen other people did rather better than that from their dealers - what's a "fair" price? I can buy them myself for c£260, and fitting looks easy peasy.

    Delivery dates and VINs

Ordered my GX4hs last weekend, and the dealer said "March delivery". He's given me the VIN, so I had assumed it must be wandering round the country somewhere. Then I saw someone else talking about a boat not docking etc, so that would suggest the country isn't awash with Outlander Phevs. Can...

    Test drive done

Very impressed - comfy, quiet and easy to drive. Surprisingly pokey as well. So I'm now about 70% sure I'm going to swap, if I can get the right deal. I've got an offer for a pre-reg (but new) one from an internet broker, but I've given a couple of local dealers the chance to have a go - I've...

Home chargers - where can you put it?

Seriously considering taking the Phev plunge (may even be the first GX5hs orderer, based on my daughters' desire for warm bums) and have a question about home chargers. Our house is on a hill, so our (off road) parking area is across a path from the house and at a higher (c4') level. So if you...

    Ponderings - ex Discovery drivers?

At the Mitsi dealer yesterday I had a close look at an Outlander PHEV. We were actually there to replace my wife's ASX, but it got me pondering. I have a Discovery, which I do very, very low mileage on (it's about 18 months old and has less than 12k on), so I suspect I could be the ideal owner...
