Hi ive had my MOP for two weeks and im interested in charging my car not only at home but at work two. The charging station near work has a socket that looks something like this (sorry i dont knw ow how to attched pictures... i think its called Meneke):
o o
O O O
O O
My question is if i need to buy a new cable or i can use the one provided by Mitsubishi with and adaptor.
Thank you
D

Hopefully I've got this right after lots of research as I'm a newbie too - I have used the supplied charger once at a shopping centre but it takes 5 hours to charge fully and I was nervous that it could easily be damaged or stolen and will cost an arm and leg to replace :(

Mitsubishi want £300 for a quicker type 1 to type 2 charging lead plus £30 for bag :shock:

The rapid 80% charge (connect to RH socket on PHEV) are tethered so no lead required :D

A bit of searching and found 32kw lead (16kw will do but I'm thinking ahead) online for £138 with carry case which is less likely to suffer damage/cheaper to replace if stolen and quicker charging so taken the plunge :cool:

Seems like a no brainer to me :mrgreen:

I bought the 32 amp one, just in case.

Used it Meadowhall shopping centre today for a nice slow and free charge worth 23 miles.

Make sure you buy a couple of locks for it as it'll take a while to recover the cost of the cable especially if someone nicks it.

Have a look here;
