Charge Timer Settings - What does that Full Charge ON|OFF do

'The Full Charge function charges the battery until it is fully charged in cases where the battery has not been fully charged during Charge Timer period.'
When in the app, you can click on the little blue 'Help' button at the top (although you need quite small fingers to do this, at least on an iPhone 4S), which is where I copied the answer from!
