Hadn't noticed whether it was in neutral or not - Was too busy trying to avoid being rammed off the road. Being in a middle lane of a busy road with sudden power loss is damn scary.
I cant see a legit reason the park button should be enabled at 60 mph! Downright dangerous if you ask me!
Not sure if people are aware of this...
Recently we were driving along the M25 motorway doing about 60mph. My daughter had put her phone in the little storage space in front of the "gear lever" and without realising it managed to touch the park button that is immediately in front of the lever...
Does this also help with buggy Bluetooth when wifi is connected? I have the issue where calls and audio keeping dropping out any time my iphone is connected via the car wifi. I've been using the WIFI Priority app to prevent automatic wifi connection - which seems less reliable post iOS 9.1
Ever since the weather has turned a bit colder my PHEV loves to run the engine any time I have the temperate set above 20 degC.
Most of the time I now have it switched off and rely on the heated seat which gets you feeling toasty quicker.
Never had the alarm go off... but not convinced the heater actually does come on!
What I dont quite get is that you can setup times, but not the temperate you want. So I assume if timed heating does come on it will just be a full blast? Or will it be at the last temperature set on heating...
Had this on and off since buying and forgot to mention to dealer when I had service... doh!
Does anyone else notice odd clanking that sometimes comes from the rear of the car. I've not been able to isolate it. Seems to happen most at slow speeds and doesnt get any worse when going over bumps or...
On iphone look for 'wifi priority' in the app store. Its free (or was) and lets you disable auto-join for any named wifi network.
Once setup your phone will no longer connect to the phev unless you ask it to.
This also fixes the problem with bluetooth not working when wifi connection is active.
After 8000 miles Im getting a "routine maintenance required" message on start up.... 4,000 miles short of the 12K service interval :(
Im assuming it must be 12,000 miles or 12 months as car was registered in Oct 2014
Anyone else seeing early service messages?
Lastly, when I bought my phev...
I've seen devices that claim to be divert 'spare' PV power to, for example an immersion heater - but these were pretty expensive. Also that would still be a binary on/off rather than get the car and charger to adjust their charge rate to match spare power.
I've got a 3kW solar installation and...
FWIW I had no problem with wifi after upgrading to iOS9, other than my selective wifi profile needs to be setup again to prevent automatic connection to the car wifi.
Would be nice if MMC could fix the issue where having wifi + bluetooth connections makes bluetooth (audio and comms) come and go!
Never ever buy new unless you really have to!
I got a 6 month old Gx4 with 1500 miles for a steal from a local dealer. The first owner always takes the biggest hit on depreciation which makes nearly new models sourced on autotrader a real bargain. Especially if you're prepared to email say 10+...
