    Bits for sale, probably.

Likely to 'let go' of the PHEV early next year and no point in letting the dealer benefit from the extras. So there will be rear seat entertainment system (2 x DVD), dog guard and rubber boot mat available. Any interest?

Loss of drive power [merged topic]

Thanks jdsx - I vaguely remember seeing this post now (maybe I just haven't actually posted anything for a year or so). It's a very good point and having a gangly 6 foot 15 year old in the car at the time cannot be discounted. Does it explain the inability to cancel cruise I wonder? At least...

Loss of drive power [merged topic]

Hi Folks, first time I've visited her for a year or so, so forgive me if this is a commonly discussed topic. Looking for anyone who may have had any similar experiences. Or if you can point me towards previous threads to save me searching and searching (not an easy topic to find a good keyword...

    Advice required regarding insurance

No questions raised about batteries by anyone at quote stage but if you continue to find problems you might want to consider Mitsubishi's own insurance - that's what I went for.

    Preferred Home Charging Company

+2. It's not so much the difference between 3 and 5 hours to full charge - it's how much extra the dedicated charger will squeeze into your battery if you have an odd hour or so between runs. Perfect for Dad's taxi runs!

12v ceramic plug in heater GX3h owners may wish to consider

Bearing in mind the PHEV has a very small 12v battery you might be inviting problems with this idea - I'm not sure how capable the car is of recharging the 12v quickly.

How off road... and in water (!!!) can you go?!?

Here you go. The discussion starts around page 2 but the definitive answer (direct from Mitsubishi) is on page 6. :) http://www.myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=259&hilit=wading&start=50

How off road... and in water (!!!) can you go?!?

There was a discussion about this early doors, I'll see if I can find it for you...

    Ponderings - ex Discovery drivers?

Just done a quick check on my road trip data for PHEV vs. D3 - not quite a comparable period, but both covering July to January. Not including electricity costs of course (though I can add that in later if you like). To cover 8045 miles the PHEV has consumed 331 litres of unleaded at a total...

    Winter Tyres?

Maby - I must be living in a very different part of the South East as its rarely been above 7°C in Hampshire this month.

    Ponderings - ex Discovery drivers?

I'm one of the ex-Disco crowd, although mine was an 06 D3, so not quite as 'premium' as the later models. But I loved the car and, although it did have its foibles I never experienced the unreliability that LR's reputation suggests. I would sum up my views as 'the PHEV does what it says on the...

    Remote app

What, the range you mean? Could be I guess.

    Remote app

Not exaggerating by much IMHO, in my case I have to stand outside, within about 10 feet of the car. Although TBF the range does seem to have improved a bit with the latest version. Another little irritation you will find (at least if you have an iPhone) is that when the phone connects to the...

Agree with all 6 of those - I will add them to the list on P1 later.

OWNERS TOP THREE SUGGESTIONS FOR MITSUBISHI

Okay, I've now posted the consolidated list at the start of this thread. Do we still need to delete the discussion posts? Don't want to offend anyone by removing what might be a valid point made. I will leave as is unless there is consensus on this. I'm happy to review the thread from time to...

    Dog Guard

Just disconnect it at the seat (not the buckle - the other end) - it reels up into the headlining.

    Cold weather economy

You're doing better than me. Since 29th Dec I've filled up 3 times and each tank has got me 432, 374 and 363 miles respectively. In October & November last year I filled up 3 times and those tanks got me 1755, 617 and 844 miles. Charge cost for Oct/Nov/Dec were all virtually the same and...
