How many miles (or km) have you managed on one tank?

This is really rough, I can't remember how much I paid per litre on that first fill-up. I will assume same price I filled up at today. It was probably more expensive, knowing that garage. I paid £47.19, assuming 126.7p per litre, that's 37 litres or 8.1 UK gallons. That ties up well with how...

Saga of my front parking sensor problems

That's a good theory. The manager at the dealership insisted that the 4-sensor 3rd party system was the one they routinely fitted to all Outlanders. But they could not make it work with the PHEV. We still don't know why. Most/all of the sensors and the control unit got replaced over those 3...

Saga of my front parking sensor problems

Inevitably I am left wondering what their motivation was for fitting those 3rd party sensors. When I next speak to the manager, now that all is (hopefully) resolved, perhaps he will be more willing to discuss it openly.

How many miles (or km) have you managed on one tank?

I did it! 2008 miles, still around 45 miles total range available. Have filled the tank again and reset the trip meters (as I won't be able to use the odometer as easilly this time...)

Saga of my front parking sensor problems

I ordered front parking sensors up-front for my GX4H. When the car arrived, I was surprised and a little concerned to find that they were a 3rd party brand. I was assured by my dealer that they were official "Mitsubishi UK" parts, if not actually manufactured by Mitsu. A small rocker switch had...

What Have You Done To Your PHEV Today?

Drove to work for the first time in the PHEV on a Sunday. We have a rota and I work around 1 weekend in 8, then take the days off in lieu the following week. The motorway was quiet. About half my 25 mile journey is motorway. Two thirds of the motorway section is 50mph in the roadworks, which I...

    Electric Tailgate not working?

This might just save a phev owner some embarrassment. Before you call your dealer to complain that the electric tailgate is broken and just beeps (4 times) when you press the dashboard, keyfob or tailgate buttons: there is a disable button slightly hidden just above the cupholders, next to the...

    Remote app/charge level

Thanks David. So the answer is that it is ~99% charged and it doesn't know how long that last ~1% will take but it will be less than 1Hr.

How many miles (or km) have you managed on one tank?

I have passed 1,800 miles, tank almost empty now. Not sure I will make it to 2,000... As explained on other threads, on my daily commute I can complete the 25 mile journey in one direction easily without using petrol, because there is a total of 800 feet of drop, but in the reverse direction I...

    Remote app/charge level

I noticed something strange today. The phev had been on charge for about 2.5hrs on the public charge point outside my office. From an overlooking window I connected my android phone over wifi and checked the charge level. It showed full, but the yellow zig-zag was still flashing. Underneith, it...

How many miles (or km) have you managed on one tank?

Here's my 1000 mile score. Not as good as maddog's, but I'm very pleased: ...oh, how do I attach a picture on this forum?

    North East England

I'm sure we can avoid coming to blows! Don't know about the Ampera, but the charger can do a phev in a morning/afternoon, so we'll just have to swap at lunchtime.

    North East England

Hi, my name is Paul and I have been driving my pearl white gx4 for about a month. I live up in the hills near Denby Dale/Holmfirth/Penistone and commute 25miles each way daily to Leeds city centre. There is a Chargemaster point outside my office which can charge 2 vehicles and its free!. Another...

Hello and question about using ICE for efficient charging

I am finding, as someone else mentioned earlier, that even above 50mph, if I switch to Save mode, I sometimes see the display indicating that the engine is charging the battery and the battery is powering the motors, ie. Series hybrid mode, when I would expect to see the engine powering the...

    Suggested improvements to PHEV displays

The petrol tank and battery charge level indicators could be more precise. The seem to drop in 1/6 or 1/8 steps. I would imagine the sensors that measure the levels are more precise and the display certainly has more pixels. Perhaps the firmware has 6 or 8 pre-loaded bitmaps and chooses which to...

    Jump starting other vehicles

I kept a decent quality pair of jump cables in my last vehicle. I used them to help out others in need of a start more often than I needed a start myself. Can I use the phev to jump start other vehicles? I found the positive 12V battery terminal under a plastic flap in the boot floor, but...

    Charhing with extension cables?

Thanks Goldie, but I guess I should have asked for responses from UK users on this one! I would like to find a suitable 13A extension, preferably with a weatherproof (ip65?) trailing socket.

    Charhing with extension cables?

I was given dire warnings by my dealer about not using extension cables to charge the phev. Surely there must be extension cables available with suitable heavy guage cable, plug and socket to cope with the high current needed safely. Can anyone suggest / advise please? 10m would be enough.

What colour is your PHEV? - YOU CAN NOW REGISTER YOUR VOTES

I also think the choice of colours limited and boring. I chose the plain white because I did not like the other colours enough to pay the extra £500. I would have paid that for the metalic red that the diesel is available in. In the end, my dealer had a cancelled order for pearlescent white and...
