Play/pause button? Or is Bluetooth streaming poor?

There are £5,000 cars with substantially better entertainment systems than this £30,000 vehicle. At least the actual streaming of music itself seems to be reliable, with very little drop outs.

Which report on real life MPG

on 5,500 miles (since january), using the trip computer B reading, ive averaged 68mpg. Thats a mixture of city driving very occasional motorway, and at least 100 miles a week on 60mph A roads.

We are witnessing the death of the Diesel engine, in real time.

    Iphone disconnecting from Bluetooth

I don't have any problem with track updating. Though the information it displays is very very poor. A scrolling album artist track info would be nice. Not one or the other and the need to press the page button. Atrocious. Let's see if the new 8.3 iOS update released last night improves the...

    Iphone disconnecting from Bluetooth

Has been working a bit better recently, today though it was back and off repeatedly every ten seconds as before. However, when i used my bluetooth headset instead, it didnt seem to steel the connection like i used to and then drop it. So that is certainly an improvement. Its really weird...

Remaining Miles Showing '---' Is really Silly

Over 2700 miles im averaging, using the trip computer manual average that doesnt reset, im getting 68mpg. 45mpg would be a 'without' charge average for me...

    Iphone disconnecting from Bluetooth

used it today for a few calls with ios 8.2 no drops so far. And you hear the phone ring. Though sometimes it would work without dropping anyway so not conclusive yet. Fingers crossed.

    leasing options

You can lease it privately. Unless you are limited and you pay yourself a salary or vat registered it matters not in terms of tax. I got a cracking deal from alpha contracts, but it seems thats no longer available (£290 a month six months up front, 20,000 miles a year). Here is a link to their...

First full run with access to domestic charger.

Just finished my first full tank of petrol where ive had access to an electric charger at home. Im pleasantly surprised. My driving is a mixture, small amount of motorway, lots of a roads and lots of city driving. Over eleven days i drove 692 miles from 39 litres of petrol and 121kwh of...

    Advice required regarding insurance

Esure, less than £300. No issue about the battery and that includes business cover (assuming not for hire /reward).

    Range indicator

And you have substantially more than 30 miles left as well..... I havent been brave enough to run it empty yet.

    Preferred Home Charging Company

i used rolec who subbed it out to a local contractor job done well. I did order the 32 amp charger though as it was same price, but all i got was the 16amp charger. Not that it makes much difference with outlander.

    Using a PHEV without chargers

I had an issue charging for the first few days with my car, and i seemed to be getting high 30s low 40s on average. So if you are happy with that, go with it, its a great car.

    Cold comfort for diesel owners

They will modify their business plan as circumstances change, or end up in a long line of vehicle manufacturers overtaken by technology and fashion. Change can happen quite quickly when it is nudged along by government. On a regulatory basis they'll keep applying pressure on the acceptable...

    Cold comfort for diesel owners

Diesels have had their day. The eurocrats have their eyes firmly on emissions and more specifically local air pollution. Ironically the manufacturers efforts to satisfy the demands of environmental legislation will also be its downfall. A modern diesel engine seems to be a massively over...

    How empty can it go?

Nerves of steel!!! Or did you drive around with a full jerry can in the boot? It does seem unnecessarily over cautious in telling us to fill up. A 20 to 30 mile range equivalent, maybe up to 40 miles at the outside. I like the graduated warning, a slow blinking light and then a fast blinking...

    Flappy Paddle Cynic

Are you on a gx4h or gx3h? If I put the heater on on my gx3h, its as if someone drilled a hole into the petrol tank.

    How empty can it go?

I made an effort to drive my car until completely empty of petrol a couple of days ago. It seems to try to panic the owner to fill up despite having a fair whack of petrol still in the tank. In the end, having drove over forty miles on save with the fill up light blinking rapidly, i relented...
