Head Unit Advise

Hi Everyone,
Nippy little forum you guys have.
Have just purchased a 2013 PHEV outlander. It is a japanese import with a PIoneer AVIC-ZH77 head unit that is all Japanse. I did a little research and found out that PIoneer Japan doesn't provide any useful information for any headunits with AVIC-****. I'm wondering if anyone got a workaround for either changing the software for the head unit or any workaround for changing the language to Engligh.

Maybe the easiest way is, to try to use google translate on your phone, just point the camera on the screen and it will translate. Than you can maybe set it to english!

Yep, I've tried doing this but there's no option for language unfortunately

Thanks, I'll give this one a go when i get home. However, looking at the forum AVIC, it seems it doesn't work for this model.
