Key tags

I got myself an outlander phev not so long ago, and I got 2 set of keys, however, no tags.

I believe the tags are pretty important especially when losing the keys. Is there a chance to have a tag made based on the keys I have already got?

And no, the garage I bought it from doesn't have those tag either.

We bought ours new and I don't recall receiving any tags. If we did, then I've long lost them!

I only received a single metal plate with a five digit number embossed into it.

That number is, I believe, the ID number for your keys (and possibly a code associated with your remote).

It's possible that Mitsubishi could tell you the number associated with the VIN number of your car.
