You will need to copy the file to the root directory of an SD card and insert into the audio slot behind the MMCS screen. The rest is automatic, it takes about 2 minutes and is 7MB. Please note this is version 2 and should be used with Map version 2015-A.

Thanks, useful info.

Copied the file to root of an SD card, when the screen closed, an update screen appeared showing he current version (2014) and the new version (2015). It warned to leave the engine running during the update, which I ignored! Ignition on, obviously.

The update took about two minutes, I wasn't timing it. Everything went O.K. and the screen reverted to normal once the update had installed.

Easy!

Australia population density is 3.0 people per square kilometer as of October 2015. Density of population is calculated as permanently settled population of Australia divided by total area of the country. Total area is the sum of land and water areas within international boundaries and coastlines of Australia.

Population density for local authorities across the UK for mid-2013. In mid-2013 the population density of England was 413 people per sq km, compared with 149 people per sq km in Wales and 135 people per sq km in Northern Ireland. Scotland has the lowest population density at 68 people per sq km.

Lucky you . . . .

There is a bigger picture with the proportion of the land that is habitable. The Sahara desert is a big place as well. Wonder how many charge points they have there.

I wonder if this includes the 200mile coast limit. :?:

Not sure on the Coast line comment - mind you, if you are talking coast-to-coast, the furthest you can get from the sea in the UK is 70 miles. It's a place in Derbyshire, so one would need EV plus possibly Charge and Save to do the round trip to the seaside for an ice-cream.

We are a small Island . . . .

Nope. Its next to useless as doesn't show the Ecotricity points which are the ones most worth using with a PHEV, it tells you virtually nothing about the points it does have such as who runs them so unless you have a bunch of subscriptions you may drive there to find its no use or too expensive.

After putting this update on and being frustrated by it - was what triggered me to create the Ecotricity TomTom POI file (see other post on here).

Its equally frustrating that the MMCS (like its predecessor) has no means to add your own POI, there is just no justification for that at all. Presume they think they will sell more extortionate updates?
